It reads “learns driving habits and adjusts”. I imagine it sees your driving patterns over a period of time and adjusts pedal to throttle based on these patterns.
OK. I've been a naysayer on the Soler TC for a couple months.
Well today I drove my Vette and did notice that a quick blip on the pedal really did nothing like when I do it on my 67 Vette.
So I ordered the Soler TC today.
Once installed I'll give by personal experience report.
And the best part ,, if you don't like it or think it was a gimmick you have 30 days to send it back ! Or, I bet you could sell it on here in a heart beat!!

Yeah, that's about as vague as a sentence can be. How often does it adjust? Is there a one-time learning curve and then it stays fixed, or does it adjust repeatedly? How often, under what conditions? If I take a 500 mile highway trip is the throttle response going to be different when I finish than when I started? Or the other extreme, if I do some track laps is it going to be different at the end than the start?
Or does it adjust continuously, based on your most recent 50 (or 10, or 25) miles?
I like the Soler unit a lot, but their explanation of "AI" mode says nothing.
I did find this, from Mike himself, on another forum.
It works similarly to the fuel trims. Initially, it will start in the middle of the spread, near "SP5" so it will feel a bit aggressive for some, and it will only respond to short term learned values (throttle rate not absolute position) as time passes it will derive a new baseline (long term) based on the time-average of the short terms. It is constantly moving.
For the street, we think SP5-SP6 are best, but this is a matter of opinion/taste. Because the controller AI mode will start internally from SP5, it makes no difference if you were to select SP5 directly.
Hi, congrats! Try Sport 8 and 9 and then report back. The nice thing is you have 10 sport settings not just 1 from GM. I do like Sport 5 - Sport 7 -10 is too strong an acceleration for daily driving. Not sure how you can say not night and day from regular Factory OEM Sport setting? Try Sport 10 you will feel very differently. My guess is OEM sport mode is probably like Solers Sport 1 or 2, so you will not see total night and day on Sport 4. On setting 6-10 you will say wow!
I installed but I’m stuck on what ought to be the easiest part; stowing it away after plugging it in. I plugged in and setup. All seems to be working great. But when it comes to tying it up somehow, I just don’t see a good way to get it out of the way. Seems as if it will be close to the pedal regardless. Wish the harness were a few inches longer to push over and behind the carpet. For those who’ve installed, what exactly did you do to get it out of the way?

there should be a slit in your carpet, and you can conveniently tuck all of the wire, and the controller itself, behind the carpet through that slit, so that the only thing coming through the slit is the new wiring, which is the same as the original wiring.
There is so much excess space behind there that it will definitely all fit

Well that was easy. I was so caught up in having to zip tie it up that I didn’t even think to chase that ECU harness that was already coming through though carpet. Duh.
Anyway, all tidied up, and since I don’t need to use the control pad, I tucked that out of sight separately as well.
Took it for a spin and YES, the Soler Performance Throttle Controller is a worthwhile mod on its own. I drove mostly on Sport 5 this evening and it does really make it even more enjoyable.

glad to hear you got it sorted and are enjoying it.
I left the harness the way it came out of the box and never even used the included zip ties. There is about 0% chance your ever going to have an issue as the pedal bracket blocks you from ever being able to touch the harness or the controller.
My LCD is still in the box, set it up via the app and never looked back.
Now that I added the proclip and phone mount, I can swap modes even easier. The proclip is like an extension of the DIC.

You don't need to leave the display connected at all. Once you've paired it to Bluetooth, just unplug it.
For my install, I disconnected the display and put it in the trunk for future use if needed (ie. if my i-phone app fails, I lose my i-phone, or sell the car to another with the Solar left in). I also tucked all the wires into the hole behind the pedal (through the slot in the carpet). However I now regret hiding all the wiring. Now if I want to reconnect the screen for some reason, I'll have to remove the pedal and fish out the wire. Not that difficult, but if doing this over again, I would leave the wire that connects to the screen, easily accessible by running it under the carpet and having the one end sticking out a tiny bit, on the edge of the carpet where I can easily hook up the screen to it. I know others have done this and I think it a better idea, so you'll never have to touch the pedal assembly again if the Solar is staying. Up to you but either way, it's unlikely anyone will know the Solar throttle controller is installed in the vehicle.
