Well said...

I find the C8's throttle response to be a bit soft and non-linear...I'm really looking for a more linear / slightly steeper response that this controller should fix....

Yes, just start.

Is it necessary to also install their throttle body or does this unit work with the stock throttle body?

Yes it will work with your stock throttle body. That’s my plan once I get 500 miles on the car.

I just installed the Soler Throttle Controller and took the C8 out for a test drive...The difference in throttle response is profound!

I have mine set to Sport 4 and while driving around town in My Mode the response is absolutely perfect now...The response feels far more linear and controlled and not lacking in any way...In Z mode, Sport 4, and transmission set to track its far more responsive, linear, and feels much more aggressive than the OE throttle setting but doesn't feel jerky or uncontrolled in the least bit...

After setup I disconnected the display module and stowed it away in my center console and hid all exposed wires and control module under the carpet behind the accelerator pedal...A very stealth install....I control everything through the phone app now...

Very pleased!

FYI...

Anyone ordering enter promocode RWDC8 for discount and for free shipping enter DLXVETTE...Saved ~$22...$197.50 OTD

Thanks @tadda - I just ordered mine using the same codes and they both worked - same price you showed. After reading about the Soler Throttle Controller for some time this thread finally convinced me to pull the trigger. I'm looking forward to driving with it but not so much crawling under the dash at 72 years old for the installation. Any tips or tricks?

Be careful following the video posted as that is 2 years old and other than the apparent changes made to the controller face, the instructions I received today are a bit different from the video instructions...

You also use an app now on the phone to setup the controller...In the video he mentions having to calibrate the pedal distance by pressing fully down and back up again...I see no mention of this step in the instructions I received today unless the app guides you through the process after pairing is accomplished..

Can anyone that recently installed the controller comment on if a pedal recalibration is required? Also, after everything is connected it states to bring the key fob back inside the cabin and "start the engine"...In the video he just pushes once without stepping on the brake to start in accessory mode and does not start up the engine and then proceeds into calibrating the accelerator pedal distance...

TIA
No calibration on mine. Just plug and play. I'm sure Soler has updated the firmware in the device over the last two years. There's a very good thread on installing the current version on the other forum (MECF). Just search Soler Review.

That's not wrong, but what it really does is make the car feel much more responsive, much more sporty. It doesn't add any real performance, but then neither does the NPP exhaust. But both make the car more fun to drive, and fell more like a sports car should feel.

We're not supposed to post links to other forums, so your post will probably get deleted before much longer.

I just came back from another drive after having installed the Soler Throttle Controller earlier today...Completely transformed the drive experience and probably the best $200 I've spent to date! (Relatively cheap given the other mods I've spent money on to date!)

Does it require the Soler throttle body as well or you can just buy the throttle controller?

You don't need to install the Throttle Body...I'm extremely pleased with having just the controller installed!

I thought about trying the 'Drag Race' mode just for the hell of it. Definitely would be on a deserted stretch of road. Still not sure, exactly, how the 'Artificial Intelligence' mode works.
