I was curious if anyone has seen or heard when we will actually see the total performance data for the c8 from independent sources. I know they are still testing and working things out, but was curious with all the "inside information" that gets leaked and shared if anyone has heard anything.

Just posted not seen until Corvettes at Carlisle GM specs from a booklet I was able to see at Corvettes at Carlisle I just posted ( not seen C8 corvette specs ) in this C8 tech /performance . Amazing info..
impressive what a good transmission can do for a car.. i.e. PDK in porsche and this one. Those times are in the Viper range with 140hp less, 200 dry lbs more, a slightly better CD (.32 v .369), and less tire.. Impressive.

Great transmission with great ratio's and very aggressive rear gear ratios.

You think that .32 CD is for the Z51 or the base? I imagine the Z51 with the rear wing and splitter is adding some additional drag.
The problem is that people are putting in orders now and I would really like to know if the z51 is worth it. I would really like to know if AY looks like ****. Its been a while since I ordered new new cars, but is it normal for a company to wait so long and keep people on the hook? If the z51 is .1 faster in 0-60 and same in 1/4mi then its not worth it to me. All this info is out and still dont know on the model or color.. sheesh

Unless you are going to road course the car regularly, the Z51 package is a waste. Get the exhaust option on a base 1lt and your good to go, regarding the yellow, to much green in it, just pick your next choice and get your car.

Exactly! The C8 Stingray has the same engine and power regardless of the Z51 option package or not. Why are some here forcing themselves to believe that the Z51 equipped car is going to be a much "faster" straight line vehicle. Z51 is not a "drag pack" option. The guy who throws a additional 5 grand at his C8 purchase expecting a "faster" car is absolutely throwing his money in the street.
