I am waiting on the Z06 to decide what I think so not real excited but I am interested to see; she's a 3,600 lb 495 HP ME car with a DCT and the Z51 is geared pretty low so I expect a pretty good 0-60...MT allows a 1 mph roll in their "0-60" test and with all the GM advertising they will do all they can to try and record at least one 2.99 sec "0-60" time but the car should be a 3.2 second car. Certainly has the potential for a 2.9/2.8 with 650-700 HP and grippier/bigger rubber but anything below that in a street car requires AWD. Doesn't sound like we will get any track time comparisons yet...but yes it will be fun to see what the testers have to say. Just be aware, a good Test Engineer can come up with almost any number he wants in a "controlled" environment so I don't get all gaspy about numbers unless the test criteria is plainly provided with evidence to support outcomes. As I said above the C8 weighs 3,600 lbs and has 495 H.P.

I’m excited about the weight, but hopefully that’s a full tank of gas and all fluids which makes it atleast a little more palatable. The new GT4 is 3200lbs only 414hp, but I’d gladly drive it. Traction and DA are key to a fast 0-60 in a NA rwd car, I did 3.1 0-60mph in my stock C6GS with just a drag radial.

Guess you need to eat crow :-)
2.8 and 11.1 Q mile :-) no grippy tires and no 650 HP

Sharpen your knives it's crow eaten time. 2.8 0-60 posted by both C&D and R&T 11.1 and 11.2 1/4 times at 122 get some salt and enjoy the crow. And these were not production cars still getting things sorted out and GM now has the capability to upgrade using wifi so adjustments will be made. Obviously you let your battleship mouth overload your rowboat brain
