That's an individual choice. Do you want maximum gains or spend less but leave power on the table?

I ditched my AttackBlue for the full aFe intake and haven't regretted it one bit.

How much power are we talking about? Realistically...

I always look at the power to cost ration. 5-6hp for $149 and the benefit of washing the filter rather than buying new ones, make sense...

Double the gains.

Also, do note that the AttackBlue requires cleaning every 10k miles and replacement at 50k miles.

Yeah, aware of that. Realistically, double the performance is still only seen on a dyno... Not like either of us would feel that... I see some folks spending thousands for 15hp which seems a bit of a waste to me...

I barely noticed an audible difference with the AB.

The full intake made a notable improvement (but not as much as my headers).

Which intake did you go with?

As a stand alone mod, it is not worth it. I would just do an air filter swap, Attack Blue or AFE Dry filter. However, with tuning available a quality aftermarket air intake, along with long tubes, cam and head package I would definitely go with one. Some interesting N/A bolt-ons with tuning have made impressive gains on the LT2 engine.

I have been through three different CAI configurations, I first went with just the Blue Attack and a few months later installed the AFE. I really did not notice a lot of improvement with either of these. When the Eventuri became available for the HTC I swapped out the AFE for the Eventuri, also about that time I added Kooks headers and already had the AFE NPP exhaust. The first time I was able to really try the new CAI I could tell a huge difference. Forth gear pulls like it never did before! I have not done a dyne so I don't know what kind of power it is making, but my assometer tells me it is significant. I added the headers a few weeks before adding the Eventuri, but I think the combination of the headers, CAI and the AFE exhaust have really woke mine up!! 2022 C8.R #758.

Do a search of my posts and see what my mods netted, no tune, no guessing, no BS, just track results.

In other words there is absolutely nothing in that data that would be able to make me choose one intake over another.

I haven't seen this testing completed yet but the proper way to test an intake is on the road where the vehicle will properly show the effects of air moving over the vehicle from zero mile per hour to 130 mph or wherever you stop your test.

A dyno environment will not be able to accomplish this.

You do it on the road doing controlled condition data logging with high accuracy acceleration testing.

I can assure you we did more than 1 run per intake, this isn't our first rodeo. If we showed every single dyno run the video would be 3x as long and nobody would watch.

As far as 0-130mph, the fastest speed limit near us is 65mph and don't advise speeding on public roads

As far as I am concerned, road tests can be done at the track. At Bradenton Motorsport Florida, we do roll race. Great for a certain amount of speed. If you don't have a track for testing then I understand
