There is no E30 in my state. What are the impacts good/bad in doing like 3-4 gallons E85 and the rest 93 (with E10) every fuel up???
Perfectly fine, it's what a lot of us outside the Midwest do. One of the things I miss about South Dakota...blender pumps everywhere! I actually built a spreadsheet calculator to calculate the % and octane of my mix.

Thanks for the confirmation.
When I looked at the blender fuel map the Midwest seemed to have them all. East coast is a bust.

I just ran the calculation for our 18.5 gal tank: 13.5 gals 93 E10 + 5 gals of E85 = E30 @ 96-octane
This assumes the E85 is actually a true 85% which is not very common; your real-world result will be more like E27 @ 95-octane.
Fun fact: "standard" gasoline at the pump in Brazil is actually E27
There are limited places here in Central N. Carolina that sell ethanol at all. One Sheetz not far from where I work has E85. I think I'll find an excuse to go that way and throw in 4.5-5 gallons and see what she does. I'll report back if my car bursts into flames.

Update: put 4.64 gallons of what was advertised as "E85" in at Sheetz. Car indicated a full tank, so if it actually were E85 (dubious from what I've been reading), the final result should be somewhere around 95 octane I figure. The car is not on fire but feels basically the same. It is 92 degrees and high humidity (but that is actually cooler than normal for here of late). So maybe next time I'll try to do 5 gallons in some cooler weather.
