Not me, I changed mine at 600mi. My comments were about the frequency of the regular oil changes.

With that said I doubt it makes a big difference if the initial fill is changed early. This is not really debatable because the amount wear from the extra contamination is not going to be measured. It might be insignificant. If the GM engineers found it to be an issue they would specified that the first change should be done at a lower mileage. Everyone knows better than the manufacturer. I have worked with two majors, have mentors who have worked as engineers for two F1 teams and I can assure you they have much larger budgets than you realize.

Andy and Drew.
My only point in this discussion was about changing the initial fill very early to get those wear contaminants out not what the OCI should be.
Would I bet the farm that they will absolutely damage my engine and drastically shorten it's life? No, but I believe they sure won't do it any good and for $85 I'm not willing to take that chance on a car I have saved for a long time to get.
As far as OCI would I go 7500 mi? Absolutely not but I'm not worried about that since I have never gotten close to that many miles in a year on my vettes.
