Being black i have to. Been toying with how much of the car to ppf but will probably just do the whole damn thing. The place I've used for years to tint my cars uses Llumar film. No idea if that is a good brand or not.

Dealer got the allocation today, Z06 order is going in Monday. My 2023 HTC 2lt has now gone down the road so any guess as to how long I’ll be without a ride?

I assume your order was a 2024? If so, how would that be possible? The 2024 production cycle ends September 6th....so your car MUST be produced by then...so why would it take that long to get to your dealer?

If it's a 2025, that's a different story.

hoping it’ll be a tad quicker than the 2023 HTC, guess that’s a pretty safe bet.

Well spent most of the day cleaning the car on Sat...I could not believe how dirty it was. I got the rims cleaned up as much as I could but I have to take them off this Friday and the rest of the barrels where I couldn't reach. You would have thought they drove this car through 10 miles of mud to get it here.

Discovered a bunch of spiderwebbing around the front and rear emblems where I'm sure the dealer took no precautions when they removed the stock ones and put the stealth ones I ordered. I'll be buffing those out on Friday as well and then taking it for partial PPF on 8/26. Only going to do the entire front end and then some other areas, not the whole car as I originally planned.

Last thing for today, I don't mind the factory rims, but I think i'm going with these instead.....

I like them. they look easier to clean too.
I just gave mine its first bath, and will have to do the wheels again. The barrels were a mess and I am only at 400 miles

LOL as I get older, that was one of the deciding factors. There are some cool rims out there but I'm like, I'll be cleaning those nooks for days. These look simple and elegant to me and just something to set it apart.

BTW, took the wife and met some friends for dinner sat night, the way that thing sounds when it starts is amazing!

i haven't customized anything yet like driving modes etc. About all I had time to do is hook up my phone to bluetooth.

I can't imagine what its gonna sound like after the 500 mile break in!

I pretty much have done the same thing. Drove and dropped my wife off at the airport, went to the kids house and had 'movie night' and loaded it up.
rolled in last nigh so late after driving 9 hours and here it sits, still in its portable garage.

I leave my garage door open and live in the country. The other morning, one of my dogs got me up early in the morning to do his business. Before I let them out, i saw that the motion sensor turned on the light in the garage, so I remote started it. That sweet sound, and no critters ran out. Was making sure there were no skunks in the garage. But I know what you say about the sound. Absolutely awesome

ETA although it looks close to the wheel well, it is about 4.5" on the other side. I did not center it but it fits fine

Wow ur brave, I would never leave my garage open, I left a few belvita cookies in my truck, still in the wrapper, opened the door and a mouse found their way in. Amazing, I can't for the life of me figure out how it got in. I had to set a trap because it was still there. I caught it lol

Ordered a set of rims from Forgelite. Just wanted to post that they have been awesome, very responsive and very nice. got renderings of the rims on the car, went through a couple options but just got an email that they are starting fabrication and that they would send progress photos etc. Great company to deal with, and the products looks amazing! I'm sure they will look even better in person!

Renderings?

Here is my C8 with the Z06, similar to the wheels in your previous rendering

Another helpful lesson learned....while I was wise enough to forbid the dealer from washing the car when it arrived, I forgot about them switching out the front and rear corvette badges to the stealth ones. I think they must have used a crow bar and a brillo pad because the paint was scratched to ****. Probably going to have to pop them off in order to buff it out. Anyway, I did some polishing of the hood before ppf next week. Looking pretty good if I don't say so myself
