2020 C6 of the Year Winner - Modified
Yes, and apparently those are pre-production tires as Michelin does not currently offer that size in the current A/S ZP tires. It is interesting in that you cannot get a A/S tire on the C8 Z51 from the factory, but GM sees the need to have and A/S tire on the Z06 mule, but probably will not offer that as a factory option.
Stupid GM marketing. In our local Corvette club of 200+ members, most would be best served with a high performance A/S tire as only 3-4 of us do any real performance driving and while the roads here in the winter are mostly clear for driving, temperatures in the teens are common.

I think they made them for the e-ray and knew years ago it would share the widebody. We've seen winter photos with the Alpin tires on mules, at least the C8 mules. Not 100% certain I've seen them on Z06 mules.

Alpin are the snow tires, that mule had Pilot Sport 4 all-season Michelin ZP tires.

Those heat exchangers have seen some miles. Makes me wonder why they didn’t use finer screens like many competitors. Did they design them to be more visible to reassure customers that the overheating issues are no more, or does the C8 really need the extra flow created by the minimalist plastic grills?

My man you must have not being following this for years like most of us here. You are straight up wrong. They had allot of z06 mules running around with the side exhaust before they had finalized and actually produced the center exhaust versions. This is a well known fact.

Need a picture of the VIN!!!!!
A shot of the VIN tag would tell us FOR SURE if it was a Z06 or not...and silence the doubters...

These tires might not be available on the Z06, but probably will be on the E-Ray, and will certainly be available aftermarket.

They're driving in winter. There are patches of snow on the ground. GM isn't dumb enough to put the Z06 on winter roads with Cup2 (or even S4) tires.

I happen to run my PS4s hard and can pull over 0.9 Gs - at 40* or less, so I may not be a candidate for the performance A/S tires, but far more than half of the C8 Z06 owners would be better served FROM THE START with those tires. GM doesn't let us make the choice that is right for us --- the customer.

Not too many places on the street around here where a Z06 running high performance A/S tires would run out of grip. Most places the speed is going to be too slow or the pavement is in less than ideal condition. So yes, I'd check that box and probably get a few more driving days from the car. While it was 19* the day I picked-up my Z51 and it drove just fine at that temp, I generally leave it parked when temps are much below 30*.

Yes, so like the 80%+ of C8 Z51 owners that would be best served from the factory with performance A/S tires but who have to wait until the PS4s are worn out or sell them at a loss rather than be able to order the car with the best tires for their (moderate) driving style (never exceed 0.8Gs cornering and think they are pushing it), C8 Z06 owners will have to do the same thing with their PS4s.

How many guys buying a C8Z are buying it as their only car do you think? You are recommending a solution for a problem that, for most, doesn't exist. Virtually all C8Z buyers surely have other cars that are more than capable of handling inclement weather and want no part of having A/S tires on their new Z.
Yes, this includes Z06 drivers, not just base Corvettes. Many Z06 buyers get them because of the performance they offer and like to talk about what it can do, even if they never exceed 0.8 Gs or get on the power for more than 4 seconds before they are at speeds where their cars can get confiscated. Perhaps you have read on the forum here that less than 5% of Corvette drivers track there cars (drags or road courses)? In our Corvette club of 200+ members, only 3 of us do any track driving, so 1,5%

Yes they have other cars (me too) but there are many parts of the country, including where I live, where winter weather is mostly sunny, just down in the teens in the morning and many of us drive our Corvettes all year round. When it snows, I drive other vehicles, but a couple days later and back in the Corvette.
