Hyd Roller to Solid Roller
Is there much gain to be had going from a hyd roller to a solid roller?
Presently have 454 12/1 rec port heads and 238/244 @112 hyd roller. Thinking of a solid roller say 245/250 or there abouts. Its a lot of expense so Id want to believe there is a bit to gain.

Presently my low rise dual plane manifold is holding me back, power flattens off by only 5000rpm but when I get a single plane manifold, I'll set a max rpm of 6500, aiming for peak power close to 6000rpm.
Running factory steel crank and 7/16 dot rods on a purely weekend street car. M21 with 3.7 rear. A slightly bigger Hydraulic roller may be a simpler option.

You can run solid rollers on a HR cam. I'm doing it comp cams just told me to set the lash at .012
I would find out from the cam companies what the max rpm is for a BBC HR cam is for your larger duration. If they feel like your out of bounds the SR is the only way to go.

6000rpm is absolute max for any hydraulic lifter- unless you get something like the hydra-rev from AFR:

I'd say that's your best way to add those last 500rpms and not have the expense and constant adjusting of a solid roller...
Edit: aw crap they only list them for small blocks! But check around I'm sure there's other rev-kits available....
