Were the door hinges in the body when it was painted? Just pulled and rebuilt mine and it looks like they were painted in the body, possibly with the doors mounted.
Yes, they were - the body shell was fully-assembled when it entered the Paint Shop, including the hood, doors, and deck lid, fitted, hinged and latched. The only major panel painted separate from the body was the hardtop, which was carried on a fixture above the body.

A question tho.. Were the jambs polished like the rest of the car and how did they paint inside the hood, where it had the color of the car?
The door jamb surfaces (on the door facings and on the hinge pillar, sills, and lock pillar on the body) were never buffed - they were just un-polished lacquer; only the exterior body surfaces were polished, mostly above the body side feature line.
The inside edge of the hood was cut-in with body color during the exterior color application, and after the final color coat was baked, a "U"-shpaed mask was applied to the inside of the hood and blackout lacquer was sprayed on the inside of the hood.
