I texted with Brad at 9:31am and not much has changed. The hospice nurse had just arrived again and Ryan was still in pain.

Texted with Brad at 1:45pm. Ryan's pain is more under control now. Waiting on the Oncologist, Dr. Yeager, to come. It was supposed to be yesterday that he came, I don't know why it was pushed to today.

Ryan:

My heart is heavy sitting here thinking about you and your family. Know that you have provided a nice lesson to many of us about living life to the fullest.

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and I wish peace for you during this difficult time.

Brad just called me. Ryan has been admitted to the hospice unit at Childrens Hospital. I am leaving to go down there right now. I'm afraid. A bright light will soon be extinguished. Brad has asked that we keep the visitors to a minimum. Ryan's room is password protected.

I really hate to hear that. I know all to will what it means when a person is taken to Hospice. Happened with my dad. May God bless Ryan and his family.

Just got back from the hospital. Ryan is very weak and mostly sleeps, but he doesn't appear to be in much pain. I did get a few minutes with him before I left, and I thanked him from all the Corvette people for the things we got to do with him over the last 26 days.

Jason Chimera and Manny Malhotra from the CBJ's stopped by. Very nice guys and they love Ryan. Both of Ryans close childhood friends were there, his father Brad and his wife Susan, his grandfather, a couple close family friends, Mark and myself.

I guess I'm more pissed off than sad right now. This might be the most unfair, unjust situation I have been involved with.

I hope the end for him is painless and he is surrounded by his family and his friends. Love you buddy, thanks for the fun times and more importantly thanks for opening my eyes. I need to believe you are needed for a higher purpose.
