Chicago CCW permit holder fires his CCW Weapon at robbery suspect:
Assuming the facts are accurate and that's a big IF, coming from our Liberal media, unfortunately this will get way much more negative press than good with all the liberal gun grabbers out there, as the argument will be this guy was playing cop and should have not fired his weapon b/c his life nor anybody else's life was at risk when he shot at and missed the fleeing robbery suspect. That is pretty much the law in IL (don't pull out your CCW weapon unless there is an immediate threat of serious bodily harm or death to you or a third person). Thankfully for us pro gun guys at least he did not injure or kill anybody when he shot and missed as the liberal gun grabbers are just dying for something really negative to happen.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS TO ALLOW GUN CONTROL RECRUITERS AT CRIME PREVENTION EVENT
We just got word that the Arlington Heights Park District will allow the BLOOMBERG MOMS to set up a recruitment booth at the National Night Out event.
National Night Out is supposed to be a non-partisan, non-political public service event that informs citizens on how not to become a victim of crime.
Arlington Heights has now turned National Night Out into a GUN CONTROL event by allowing the Moms' recruiters to have a booth at the event.
Of course, no pro-gun organizations will be allowed to have a booth at the event.
WHAT YOU CAN DO TO PRESERVE THE TRUTH
1. Call the Arlington Heights Park District at (847) 577-3000 and ask to speak to an official. Politely tell the official that you are disappointed that the Moms will be allowed to have a recruiting booth at National Night Out. Tell the official that the event is not the place for political issues and that the Moms' need to have their permission to place a booth at the event revoked.
2. Go to the National Night Out event which will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 beginning at 5:30 PM. The event will be held in North School Park, Eastman Avenue and Arlington Heights Road. Locate the Moms' booth and congregate there. When you hear a representative of the Moms utter a lie about guns, you step up and counter the lie with the truth about lawful gun ownership.
3. Be sure to wear IGOLD t-shirts and hats or other ISRA/NRA clothing.
4. Be sure to send this alert along to your gun owning friends and tell them to attend the event as well.
5. Be sure to post this alert to any and all Internet blogs or bulletin boards to which you may belong.

Cook County States Attorney announces that IT WILL NOT press charges against the IL CCW holder who fired 2 shots at the fleeing suspect in the recent Village of Crestwood robbery that occurred last week that has been all over the news.

In my opinion and most others knowledgeable on this topic the CCW holder was STUPID trying to play hero cop, when he is lucky the police did not shoot him thinking that he was an accomplice, or getting one of the police officers shot. At any rate, b/c he appears to be a model citizen who was legally carrying at the time and had good intentions, I am happy to see that he was not charged (and he is lucky he did not get charged with a crime like negligent discharge of a firearm, etc.)

I hope things are well up north. Things are good in FL.
I went on July 22 to the CCW "Fast Track" office in Tampa to apply for my CCW. They accepted my IL 16 hour training to meet the requirements. My permit was issued on August 1 and I received it a few days later. I bought a new Sig P238 to carry down here and sold my S&W Bodyguard .380. If you are a CCW holder, there is no waiting period on handguns. There is no waiting period on long guns regardless.
My county has their own outdoor gun range that I need to check out. https://www.scgov.net/parks/Pages/KnightTrail.aspx
There are dozens of gun shops within a few miles of my house and pawn shops even sell guns.
