There actually is a Chevrolet Baptist Church somewheres down South - I've seen pictures posted when one of the CF groups visited it, might have been cor99vette's mission trip to St. Judes?

Well, we were visiting her mother, it was in her car, and my time and attention were thoroughly occupied, to say the least.
The location was just west of the intersection of Glen Cove Road and the LIE, don't remember the number exit.

OK, got it.
Funny story - I had a college classmate at Hamilton College in the late 60's whose name was Charles W. Post. So of course he got a C.W. Post college decal for the back of his car.

Insane if it's true.
This such
People are being burglarized in their own homes and this is what the cops do?? (Lets get those car nuts, they may speed on Ocean Pkwy.)
I am so sick of the overpaid Suffolk and Nassau police depts. I resent having to pay the outrages salaries.
Sorry I guess this should be in the bar thread.

Default Trapped by NY's Finest!

Ok, so yesterday im in lovely NYC for a job fair. Event went well. I get my car and head back for Holland tunnel. Im about to cross this big intersection, (middle lane) traffic looks like it will go through the green then wham...full stop dead center of the intersection! Both sides had cars;no where to go. Then I look to the right and theres an NYPD cruiser car about 1000 feet away facing the intersection. 2 cops come out and walk down to the intersection. Instructs me and all the surrounding cars to pull over to the side street. (6 cars total) Cop says its illegal to block the interection. we all get tickets! 90.00! Before i even tried to explain theres nohing i could do, he said something about "leap frogging" technique when in that situation. i didnt bother to argue and went on my way. But as I got through the intersection and waited on traffic, I saw the cops go back to their car, and wait for the next batch of "anti-leap frog" violators. So it looks like a nice trap because if they parked at the corner, there would be less violations.

Oh well, next time i see an intersection i guess ill have to stop on green, and wait and see if my car can make it across before going proceeding. Is that "leap frogging?"

I Love NY!

My old office was a couple of blocks from the entrance to the Holland and they do that all the time. There's also a cop that parks on the sidestreet next to the McDonald's express that flags guys down for no seat belts. When I've eaten there, I've seen him flag down like 8-10 cars in half an hour!!

BTW, was the the tech fair at the Metropolitan Pavilion on 18th street?? My wife was there, she passed by at lunch time.

Something you wanna tell me bub??
