Gone deep enough?
I've been stripping my 81 St. Louis car before it heads to the paint shop. I've got down to the gray primer and I'm wondering if I can stop there. You can see the glass in spots. The bumpers are down to the yellow urethane. The car was from Arizona and had been repainted. The whole top of the car was a mass of spider webs, you could see the original beige paint in the cracks. The car looks 10 times better even though it's just primer. Thankfully the car looks to have never been wrecked though there was some type of build up around the rear wheel flares but it's all gone now and they look fine.
