You asked the question that could start another header war with the same two companies with the best headers. Kooks and LG Motorsports. I've had people tell me that they installed both on peoples cars and they liked the LG's better but they also cost more.

I drove a 408 the other day w/LG Headers and otherwise stock exhaust like mine.
The car did not have exhaust leaks and was quieter than my Kook's setup.
I liked it. My Kook's leak and I can't get the tail pipes to line up right--they make good power though. Was hard to compare the two since the LGs were strapped to a 408 that had massive torque already. I think I would get the LG Headers if I did it again simply based on installation and the fact that the x-pipe is stainless.
To compare hp is to
I should refrase my answer to Kooks because I've done them with good results.Have seen LG's and the fit looks good.. I hate FLP's because they burn wires very easilly.
FWIW...The headers available now ALL perform well. Find one you like and go with it. If your stroked consider the Kooks 1 7/8 if not the TPIS, LG or any of the major brands at 1 3/4 diameter. The technology and quality is there in all of them.Shop around and listen to a few cars..make your own choice.
This subject has been beaten to death but I think some unbiased info doesn't hurt when you spending YOUR hard ernmed money..Good Luck:
I think there are several things to consider. Buget is obvious. If you are installing them yourself, then ease of installation and possibly a full front to back setup. Stainless vs. coated steel. I have been weighing each of these as I make my decision. Unfortunately, being in the middle of a major house renovation, looks like I will have a few more months for research
I personally want a full stainless steel system that isn't a bear to install. I am also looking to gain in the lower RPM range, and am willing to sacrifice a little on the peak number to get this. I have it down to three vendors, with QTP being the one I am still waiting to see some results on. Their headers were just released so there isn't a lot of information out there yet. But, I have some time to see how they perform.
Search C5 tech from the last few days, and be preparred to remove alot of things from the motor, loosen the motor mounts, jack up the motor..............

Yep...I've read about all the pain involved thanks for the tip...... I plan to dismantle the car this weekend, the headers should arrive today or Monday, that will give me at least 4 days to get them in before race day on Friday!
I'll be sure to log on once in a while to curse!
Did you sell your beast yet?
I couldn't get a decent deal to sell mine so instead of buying yours I'm gonna do the headers then the supercharger or H/C
If you haven't sold it yet, good luck to you.
That car is flat out awesome! Wish I could buy it!
