Instead of all the innuendo and accusations, can someone simply post a few pictures of a packed C7 convertible trunk? You don't have to pack the bags, just show the layout. The lack of primary communication skills on this board is epic sometimes.
If Elmer can get two carry-on size bags in the trunk, that should be sufficient for any weekend trip. If you can stuff some soft-sided duffels in as well, that would be a bonus.
Thank you in advance.
Three shots from last summer for our 7,900 mile coast-to-coast trip to the Outer Banks. The first shot shows, left to right, a small duffel bag, plastic bag with AAA Tour Books, messenger bag with 17" Powerbook. The second shot shows another duffel bag, wife's suitcase, beauty case. The third shot shows a garment bag angled on top of the duffel bag; jackets and sweaters go on top of the suitcase.

Duffel, tour books, and Powerbook
Duffel, suitcase, beauty case
Garment bag, suitcase, beauty case. All set for three week trip and we could lower the top whenever we wanted!
Another aspect to consider with a C7 vert is whether a standard issue, collapsible walker, will fit in the 7. I was told that one wouldn't fit in the 7 vert trunk - only the coupe.

Uhhhh no ........ My '61 was cool way back when as were the C4's and C6's. I would not however, give up the advancements of my C7. In fact, I am about to order another one to replace the '16 that my 26 yr old boosted from me several months ago. He is always willing to let me drive it when it needs gas ................

Reason: spelling
I frankly am lost? The C7 (coupe or convertible) has more luggage room than any other two seat sports car made - and you guys are complaining?
Have you tried going anywhere in Cayman or Boxster or that Alfa 4C?

We're talking verts here. Of course a coupe has more room. It's a hatchback. But no, verts DO NOT have more room than "any other two seat sports car made." Try an SL-550 just as one example. Twice the room in a vert.
. . . doesn't that SL-550 metal roof take up nearly 100% of that extra room?
Foosh nailed it. I hate hard-top convertibles for that exact reason.
My wife had an SLK 350, followed by a Z4. Cute zippy girlie cars, which she loves. But, with the top down, there is almost no trunk space. Worse, that hard 3-dimensional partition has to be positioned just right for the top to even operate.
Gimme a rag-top any day (as long as it's a Corvette).

I'm not getting any younger, as I'm already a senior citizen, and hopefully a walker is a long ways away for me - but, outside of having to give up a manual transmission, I would still want to be mobile in my choice of cars that would accommodate a walker.

With more years behind me than I have in front of me, believe me I get it brother. I guess that's why the post it still made me laugh.

...Not with the top down you don't....LOL Still, Marina and I have no problem packing for multi week trips in our convertible Z51, and we can still drive to our destinations with the top down, as we normally do!
It's all about what you pack, and how much of it you chose to bring along with you. I think our lives as seasoned motorcycle tourists prepared us to deal with the luggage space in the convertible.
