Default Anderson Auto-X Official Post...

OK, who's in?

AUTO-X Flyer

So far we have Tom and I are definately going to race..who else is interested in going to race and/or spectate? This should be more like a high speed like Sanford (80+ mph) straights as opposed to the tighter track at Moorseville.

I'm thinking anyone who is going to race we have a set-up get together before the we do the meeting as planned on Saturday. I'm not going to be able to do both days...so I plan on leaving at around 6:30 am on Sunday morning.

Who else is interested?

Cool see ya there..are ya going to do both days or just one? Anyone else coming with you?

No more crap talking for me. I'm under the stern belief that not many people actually get my very sarcastic sense of humor...it seems like the more I joke around the more people it actually scares away instead of getting them interested in some fun little races.

Hey Rick, good plan. Wish I could have my race tires by then. I guess the Dunlops will have to make it through one more day. Let's see we have a little more than a week to find out who wants braggin rights at RCG. Lets set up a handicap system so we can race against each other's time on the last run of the day. How about taking your best time and develope a time to beat for each guy. Maybe something like bracket racing. We could all put up say $5 and winner takes all. Since this is probably the last race of the year, we could buy a trophy and put RCG driver of the year on it. Let's really make this a fun event.

Don't think I can make it.

You have bragging rights until somebody beats you guess I'll just retire from AutoX the RCG Champion

Nobody retires as a champion from this outfit. You just get the "Quiter's Award and lose your status as champion. What gives? You lose your desire to race? Hope you didn't sell the 06.

I think he is getting a little scared that the competition is so quickly closing in on his immortality. See Tom, ya can't lose the if ya don't compete

Is there a reason of choosing Sunday over Saturday? I'm planning on this, but Saturday is MUCH better for me.

The only reason we thought it would be better on Sunday is to make our RCG monthly meeting on that Saturday. I, too, think Saturday would be better so you can rest up and watch football on Sunday. But I like our meetings and don't want to slight them any. Now if we could get everybody to come to Anderson for our meeting, we'd have the best of both worlds. Let's keep an eye on the weather. That may tell us when we will race.

With a good handicap, I think we might find a new winner. Even Deb might have a chance at it.

I've been trying to figure out a good handicap. How about taking your best 3 runs and average them. That would produce your base time. Then we take the fastest base time and adjust times so everyone is equal. Example: base time for Rick, 1:35. Base time for Tom, 1:40. Tom would have 5 seconds taken off his time in the trophy run. What do you think?

Have you ever considered that it MAY not be your sense of humor that scares people? If the car and weather are willing, I'll be there. It's running pretty well considering stock tuning, the new heads are awesome! I hope to be able to get it in at More Perf. next Saturday, waiting on a call back. Everyone keep your fingers crossed for me.

I like the meetings too, but I feel like Saturday is the day to do it since it's a good bit away. I may not be able to make a Sunday venture. Mooresville was good on a Sunday since it was so close to home. I guess majority will rule.

I'm fine with Saturday as well, only stipulation is I must be back by 6:30 PM for a party.

Is anyone thinking of staying over on Friday night?

I think that is a good idea...because if if is raining I cannot race at all with the top out of the car.

I think it's safe to say that rain will cancel our trip to Anderson. We just don't do well with poor traction anyway.
