Test

Not sure if you know this btw, but Kyle never had the six speed record, there is an LPE turbo car who has owned that title for years, many years actually. The owner doesn't boast about it, but it has not been beaten either.
John is hoping to change that, but there are many likely candidates out there.

Best of luck to all of them trying!!

For the record, I did not instigate-discuss-mediate any of that, but unfortunately for Tune Time they had a representitive speaking under their business name who has pissed off a lot of local racers and now your seeing a little bit of back lash from it.
I do not think it is fair that it is transferring into this event or towards Tune Time/yourself etc, but your not going to push away local racers and not hear about it later. Tune Time just needs to speak for themselves rather then letting others do it for them IMO, it's tough enough breaking into a new scene without starting behind the eight ball.
I'm really happy to see another shop step up and promote some local racing, and I look forward to hopefully be racing in the event myself as long as they have 14 second bracket class for me.

I didnt want to go to those rentals, they are a waste of my day frankly, but when you post a rental on the CF dont cast people away because they have parts on their car from a shop/shop owner you dont like.
Corvette challenge racers were told "sorry the rental is full" when we both know Atco does not limit the amount of cars, just the minimum.
Dave and John are obviously in deep with ECS, but casting off Artie and Bob T just because they have our parts on their cars sent a message out to ALL the Corvette challenge racers that did not make your clique look too good. Several people were actually very surprised when someone showed up to a "pre season" party, and a couple people left at that exact moment because of it, so if that's not "how it went down", then someone needs to set the masses straight because thats how several people see it.

That all said, I'm just a by stander to all of this other then what originated it in the C6Z -BS incomplete- fast list. We have both said our peace, so lets put it aside and race!

I don't know the folks at Tune Time and if I've met you, I apologize for not recalling. Personally, I do my best to get along with as many people as possible. We built and race the car for enjoyment, a hobby, friends, family, etc. And, of course, the adrenalin rush.
I don't want to open any old wounds. But, I once asked to attend a rental (which I attended the previous year) and was accepted, paid and then went into a series of innuendo, basically asking me to sell my spot if I intended to have my tuner in attendance. That could have been stated more clearly, up front, and all the drama would have been avoided, end of story.
This later escalated to a threat against me, which blew my mind. I've never had anyone state that I better be careful or they would go tell someone else something I may have said about them. That was the most absurd threat I think I've encountered on a public forum and stopped me from posting on here, other than basic BS, for a very long time.
If you have a problem with me, talk to me. You want to talk it over voice, ask and I'll give you my phone number. But, do not make threats that serve no reasonable purpose - That's totally uncalled for, period.
Since then, I've done my best to avoid those who want to add unwelcome drama into an area of my life where I attempt to release the stress of daily living
Long story short: I honestly would like to turn the clocks back and attend these types of events as well as feeling as if I could hang out with just about anyone at a track event. It's a shame I don't feel that way any longer.
Which is exactly why I asked this time. TuneTime - I have nothing but respect for your shop and the products you're turning out. Well done. I only posted my questions because I thought the push for the event was being done by the original poster. The pissing match that may exist, for whatever reason, between list-moderators and shops negatively impacts everyone - clients; equally important, potential clients; and the shops. Yes, it makes for sweet internet fun, but it has real world negative impact when that divide prevents all of us from getting together and driving the wheels off our cars in this really small community.
I am proud to have Doug and ECS as my shop/tuner/friends as others regard their camps with equal pride. But, when people take shots at the end user (i.e., me) for being partial to a particular shop, well, that's just childish. So, I was not stirring up **** by my request for clarification. Rather, I was asking for clarification on what could be a really fun rental with all camps involved. Could I have done it via PM? Sure. But I am more comfortable airing my laundry in public so everyone can have the benefit of the information instead of potentially cryptic PMs like Dave got.
Ok, rant off. I really hope this happens. KCCO.

Question - is there an event going on down in MIR that same time?
