Sorry for the crappy pictures. I left the light under the car. I got the gauge cluster out. It will go out for refurb and then go in the ‘64 convertible that currently has a ‘67 dash.

Oh and this bad boy popped right out with a little alternating crow bar action and balanced perfectly on the jack. I simply rolled it out.

Lots of wires to figure out! Tomorrow I’ll cut into this mess and install the connector for the new gauge cluster. I found a hidden kill switch I didn’t know it had. Unfortunately, who ever installed it hacked the ignition switch and left a bunch of loose wires in the engine compartment. I’ll fix that and keep the kill switch.

I still have some touch up work to do on the steering column and general clean up, but I like it!

The steel Summit ptfe hose ends, two couplers and an adapter for a 1/4” quick disconnect I can attach to my air compressor, and a fuel pressure gauge and coupler.

I’m particularly digging the retro look of this fuel pressure gauge.

And charge the closed loop up to 100psi. The weakest link is rated at 600psi, but the fuel system will only see around 60psi. A little soapy water proves it is leak free. 15 minutes of work for piece of mind.

I made a bracket for the vent/rollover valve and epoxied it at the top of the rear bulkhead. That’s about six inches higher than the antenna hole that some recommend using and more importantly, higher than the top of the filler.

About 80% installed. One strap is jammed up top and the other needs a bit of coaxing. I’ll save that for tomorrow. Time for the dog and I to go watch some horror films and eat pizza while the wife is at book drinking wine. Two things we can’t do when she’s home!
