I’m sure this will stir up some debate, but after learning of another fatal crash in a Corvette with a young driver at the wheel, I think it’s time we come to the realization that some people might just be too young to be trusted with that kind of power.
Here are the mangled remnants of a Corvette after the driver lost control of the car on a Norwegian highway. Apparently, the Corvette hit a barrier, jumped into another lane and then crashed into an oncoming car, causing a few other vehicles (including a Dodge Ram … yes, a Dodge Ram in Norway) to wreck.
We just had an unfortunate reminder of why our enthusiasm for enjoying Corvettes should never, ever outweigh a need for safety. Over the weekend, a Corvette driver was arrested on suspicion of killing a 27-year-old in a single-car collision (different crash pictured) in the San Francisco area after it was determined he had been drinking and taking drugs.
New Orleans police have reportedly identified the driver who deposited his Corvette in Bayou St. John, then fled, Wednesday Morning but aren’t releasing his name.
