Pristine 1963 Corvette Split Window Coupe for Sale

A pristine Split Window Silver Bullet is now available on Bring A Trailer.

A pristine 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split Window Coupe in Sebring Silver has recently surfaced on Bring A Trailer. This particular C2 was built January 9, 1963 and sold at Fletcher Jones Chevrolet in Los Angeles. It was then imported to British Columbia, Canada in 1979, and restored by the previous owner between 1984 and 1998. Before the current seller purchased the car, it was stored and barely driven. Since then, it’s had some maintenance done, but only 559 miles logged in the three years of ownership. Included with purchase are an NCRS data report, British Columbia government vehicle inspection, multiple independent vehicle appraisals dating back to 1998, and a clean British Colombia title in the seller’s name.

In 1998, the car was disassembled and repainted the original color. Emblems, trim pieces, and weather stripping have all been replaced in the process. The door handles, side mirrors, and stainless steel taillight housings have been replaced and cleaned, as well. A set of period-correct American Racing D spoke wheels have been installed along Bridgestone RD-207 tires, however the OEM wheels and hubcaps are included.

Check out the mint interior

Moving inside, everything looks pretty mint. The black interior has been refurbished and the original GM clear floor mats are still intact. The car did come with power windows, however the driver’s side appears to move a bit slower than the passenger side, as noted by the seller. A factory wood-trimmed steering wheel has been installed, but not to worry, the original black unit will also be included.

Still runs like a champ

Back in 1963, the L76 327ci V8 produced 340 horsepower. The engine was rebuilt in 1986 by Best Engine Rebuilders in Edmonton, Alberta. The cylinder block was bored over 0.40 and balanced. The Borg Warner T-10 4-speed manual gearbox was rebuilt by AMP Transmission in 1989. A laundry list of maintenance items have been addressed to keep the car in proper running order. According to the seller, the C2 drives great and the only issue seems to be a little exhaust rattle.

The current bid is $40,000, with five days left in the auction. Interested?
