Running an 8-second pass, the power of the LS7 takes Corvette Forum member’s raging C6 Z06 into the record books.

There’s no doubt that the C6 Corvette is a powerhouse. Bone stock, the C6 Z06 houses the 7.0L LS7; a beast of a small-block engine and the crowned jewel in the LS-platform. Corvette owners are a driven group, and they will always find a way to go faster. Usually that means forced induction. But one C6 Corvette Z06 recently laid down the gauntlet for naturally aspirated ‘Vettes by breaking the World Record on the quarter mile.

The 2008 Corvette Z06 is owned by Canadian Sébastien Imbeault. We should also note that Imbeault is not only a member of our forums, but he also used CorvetteForum vendor, American Heritage Performance, ported heads to help set the N/A World Record with a pass of 8.993-seconds at 151.84 mph on the quarter-mile at Quebec’s Passat Napierville Dragway.

This C6 Z06 is insanely impressive on many levels. Mainly how it runs the stock 427-cubic inch V8 with 6-speed manual transmission, retaining stock LS7 rods, pistons and crank. Imbeault posted the full specs on Corvette Forum’s Fast List.

This is the first N/A 427 LS7 C6 Z06 M6 with 17’’ & 15″ Drag Radial on Corvette Forum to record a 9.7x, 9.6x, 9.5x, 9.4x, 9.3x, 9.2x, 9.1x, 9.0x, 8.9x

Incredible numbers! It really shows how powerful the LS7 is, as well as Imbeault’s exceptional driving skills.

We are lucky enough to get two videos documenting this run, compliments of American Heritage Performance.

Big congrats to Imbeault on his asphalt rattling run. We can’t wait to see and more of this insane Corvette in action.
