Whew! There’s a sigh of relief. With all those unbearable photos of the last Corvettes being pulled out of the sinkhole, it’s good to finally come across some shots taken in Kentucky that can help lift our spirits.

OK, so it looks like it was part of a monster truck stunt gone wrong, but at least it’s in once piece. Corvette #1.5 million is the seventh of the “Great Eight” Corvettes to be removed from the sinkhole at the National Corvette Museum.

The 2014 Corvette Stingray driven by Scarlett Johansson who plays the Black Widow in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”, will likely spark a lot more ‘Vette fans into buying tickets to the film when it hits U.S. theaters this weekend. To help you rev up even more for the second installment of the superhero franchise, we thought we’d share a few photos we stumbled upon of the C7 on set ­in Washington D.C.

Talk about intimidating. Can you imagine cruising down the highway and suddenly seeing this sitting in the median? I’m betting most would probably start sweating the second they were to see it, even if they weren’t speeding.

Blame CAFE regulations, blame the EPA, blame Satan, but regardless of whom you choose to blame, your chosen scapegoat will be unable to make this news any easier to digest, so here it goes: the 2016 Corvette is getting the Voltec powertrain added to its options list, and it will be called the Corvette E-REV.

We just had an unfortunate reminder of why our enthusiasm for enjoying Corvettes should never, ever outweigh a need for safety. Over the weekend, a Corvette driver was arrested on suspicion of killing a 27-year-old in a single-car collision (different crash pictured) in the San Francisco area after it was determined he had been drinking and taking drugs.
