Corvette Inspired Love Still Strong 23 Years Later

Corvette Love

I imagine that for a Corvette owner the only thing that could beat falling in love with a fan of the car would be falling in love with someone who actually owned a ‘Vette too.

It certainly seems to have helped fuel a fruitful relationship between Peter Gapp and Lisa Perretto, who have been married for 23 years after first meeting when their Corvettes were parked next to each other in a parking lot.

“As I was admiring the red leather interior, a woman came out and informed me it wasn’t for sale,” says Peter, who had parked his 1992 Black Rose C4 next to Lisa’s white 1977 C3, according to a FastLane.gm.com report.

“When I got to my car, I noticed a great-looking guy standing between my ’77 Corvette and a gorgeous Black Rose Corvette,” said Lisa.

In no small part because of the Corvette bond, the two quickly developed a relationship. And the cars still hold a special place in their lives.

“Today, we keep the ’77 Corvette at our home in New Jersey and my ’92 Corvette in Florida,” said Peter. “We like to think they’re in a long-distance relationship.”

This story should be inspiration for any single Corvette owners who might be looking for a love connection with excellent taste.
