The C4 Corvette was a revelation when it was released, especially compared the the car it replaced. To this day, it has legions of fans, especially on Corvette Forum, where a recent thread asked what it is that makes the C4 so special.

For a lot of people, there’s a certain magic that comes with the C4. And with the current wave of ’80s and ’90s nostalgia riding high, it’s easy to understand the appeal to grown-up kids who used to dream of owning one, in some cases before they could even drive.

Others appreciate its blend of comfort, performance, and reliability. And with current values making most C4s very affordable, it’s just too good of a deal for many to pass up. Babied examples can be had for under $15K, or even under $10K in some cases, making it an ideal “first Corvette” for many.

For others, it’s a combination of the two. Whether it’s your first Corvette or your fifth, it presents a tremendous value and makes a great daily driver, weekend warrior, or track toy.

The C4 sports unmatched style, a bulletproof drivetrain, and plenty of creature comforts. A healthy aftermarket means that you can totally transform your ‘Vette into just about anything you desire. For many of our members, there is no replacement for their beloved C4s.
