Forum Thread of the Week: GM Extended Warranty No Longer Offered

C8 Stingray

An extended warranty is a great thing to have for piece of mind. But are they worth the cost? Doesn’t matter because GM took them away. Now you don’t have to agonize over the decision to buy one or not. The topic was recently raised in a Corvette Forum thread. The member mentioned that GM did away with the extended warranty and that lead to a whole discussion around the value of them. What do you think of them? Join the discussion HERE.

Corvettes Sales Buck the Trend and Dramatically Increase in Q4

E-Ray

Increasing sales in 2022 was not easy for any automaker. Even if you were making a popular car, supply chain issues made it tough for you to actually build it. So many automakers saw sales numbers shrink. But the Corvette did very well. In Q4 2022 sales were up 10 percent over Q4 2021. And in the premium sports car segment the Corvette holds a commanding 58 percent market share. To put that in perspective the Porsche 911 has the second largest slice of market share in the segment at just 18 percent. See the full report from our friends at GM Authority HERE.

Must Watch Video: C4 Corvette Gets First Wash in 25 Years

This C4 Corvette sat abandoned in a barn for 25 years. As you can imagine the car got pretty nasty during that time. Dirt, dust and critters all combined to make for one disgusting C4. But all is not lost. It has been rescued and given a wash for the first time in a quarter century. Watch the video to see the amazing transformation.

Colin Powell Corvette Auction

C7

There is no shortage of amazing cars being auctioned off at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale. But this 2015 Corvette Stingray caught our attention. There is nothing exceptional about the car itself. But it was owned by an exceptional person. This was the daily driver of the late General Colin Powell. Does it get any more American than that? And the best part is the proceeds of the sale are going to charity. Check out the full lot description by clicking HERE.
