Could GM Studio Rendering be the Mid-Engine C8 Corvette?

We might just be getting our first glimpse of what the next-gen, mid-engine C8 Corvette will really look like.

A film crew for the Velocity show “Americarna” visited a General Motors design studio to show how concept cars become reality. But what they may have really captured, by all indications, appears to be a rendering of the C8 Corvette, as highlighted in a recent GM Authority report.

The camera captures the image while Ray Evernham, the host for the show, is visiting the work space of GM designer, Christine Park. Park mentions she’s working on a “Chevy sports car.” During the segment, which starts at the 1:34 mark, Americarna follows up with graphics suggesting that the rendering could be a Camaro.

That Corvette emblem, however, is a dead give-away that there’s something much more exciting in the works, certainly for those of us at Corvette Forum.

Looks like GM might have slipped on this one and then had Americarna try to help conceal the mistake.

Either way, we certainly appreciate them giving us a glimpse at what could be an actual GM rendering of the car that we’ve all been speculating about so fervently.
