Lmmgr recently discovered some nasty scuffs on the backsides of his wheels. In fact, they look like they’ve been kicked around a shop floor like hockey pucks. Thankfully, the inner lip of the wheel isn’t often visible, but it’s still understandably upsetting.
As it turns out, this isn’t actually GM’s fault. An aftermarket supplier mounts the tires to the wheels and ships them to Bowling Green as a unit. Several posters chimed in to say that they’ve seen this issue on their cars and others that are being delivered. Hopefully, the situation is remedied soon.
