The #31 amp fuse is in the engine compartment, the RDO fuse is next to the BCM in the passenger footwell area, but if you already pulled the battery cables that's the same thing.
If you can't even get the CD out it may be terminal
Here's the latest link for the Coastal E Tech Corvette lockpick, version 2 has the IPOD lockpick options now, you dont have to buy the separate ipod module any longer, also has a new input cable for ipod - one plug as opposed to the three RCA and USB plugs !
I have a 2102 GS and I'd like to change the order in which the audio source is displayed. Mine has Am, Fm1/2, xm, then down arrow and the cd on the next page. Anyway tho rearrange the order in which they display, what'll if I don't want to display xm at all?
I just wanted to add a couple comments based on my experiences with 2 different aftermarket head units.
This was on a 2013 1LT non bose only replacing the head unit (keeping the factory amp)
Parrot Asteroid Smart -
1. I had amp thump at turn off (the head unit has an extra delay so it's a few minutes after you turn the car off and get out. Ground Loop Isolators did not fix this.
2. The radio is very shallow (no cd/dvd), so you do not have to modify the brace behind the radio.
3. Had to use a micro controller that plugs in USB to get steering wheel controls to work, no supported aftermarket adapter (at least when I bought it there wasn't)
Pioneer AVIC X850BT -
1. I had amp thump at turn on and turn off. Ground Loop Isolators did fix it this time, and I now have no thump or whine (so far, just installed it today)
2. The radio is a lot deeper than the parrot, but I did not have to remove the brace behind the radio. The radio is touching the brace but I was able to keep wires out of the way while pushing the HU back. Jamming all of the wires in crevices isn't easy, but not super bad.
3. Using iDataLink Maestro for Steering wheel controls, super easy to setup and works flawlessly so far.
So to recap :
Parrot Asteroid Smart - Has Turn off thump, do not need to cut brace behind radio, SWC are a nightmare
Pioneer AVIC X850BT - Need Ground Loop Isolators to fix thump, do not need to cut brace behind radio, easy to get SWC

Reason: added info about SWC
Is there instructions on simply removing and replacing the stock head unit? I am somehow missing it. I just ordered this with all the necessary equipment and am just looking for some pointers on getting the stock, non-bose, with Sirius, system out.
A few years have past and I'm sure that most of this thread is still amazing, but I have a head-unit question. Are there any new after market head units that work with the steering wheel volume controls? I know that I read that a Kenwood system worked with it, but has anyone else done anything different?
Any HU that can accept SW controls can be made to work with the C6, you just need to get the proper adapter.
I haven't seen any in person yet, but there are also some HU out there that can be directly wired to the SW buttons. The link you posted isn't one of them, it needs an adapter.
The adapter gets connected to wires at pins A6 & A7 of the 24 pin radio plug, then simply plugs in to the back of the new HU.
The adapter required is RADIO specific, NOT car specific.
