I have a heat barrierkit from corvette central and some small sheets of dynamat from napa. I plan on doing the work this week once I know I do not have to make any more messes in the interior.
Sounds like your doing a real professional job while you have it apart!
Before I put the heat barrier on mine I used some NASA type additive to high heat flat black paint and coated the under side of the floor pan and interior side from the lower firewall to the spare tire well inside of the frame rails. But I nowhere near stock.

Thanks! That must look nice underneath. I am hoping I can get the heat barrier and carpet in soon.

James you may want to put the body back onto the chassis first, as the body mount bolts are normally covered by the carpeting, and thus should be covered by the dynamat you plan to install.

The sheets will only go in certain areas. These are 12x12 sheets and used for sound only. The heat barrier kit does not cover the bolts completely. I will make sure the holes are accessible before I do anything permanent.
More going on everyday! Finished the cowl vent lever, mirror (not correct repro) and upper console trim. I have the correct mirror though needs new glass.
The driver rear bumper is getting worked on. The passenger side and license frame is on the car.
The heater is installed with all of the cables. The steering column is installed. I have to move the steering wheel over and replace the horn contact (not the correct one).
It looks like I need to tighten down the mirror supports.
Now, I need to finish up with the wiring for the radio and the ignition switch. Then work on the kick panels and get the seat frames ready for uphostery.
It has been great watching your progression. Your work is very inspirational! it has been a great motivator for me! THANKS
Keep up the great work, and keep your kids involved. I can say from experience the payoff from the time you spend with them working on the car is huge when they get older.
NICE work James
Hey if your not too busy I have a 61 in the shop right now that needs final assembly . Your pretty good at it want to put this one together?
Looking great!reminds me so much of our 62 before the last repaint.
Too bad you don't live closer.I just got back from meeting with serveral C-1 owners,in Belleville,Il.We are trying to organize a C-1 only Corvette club for the St.Louis/Illinois area.
Slow progress... Now, I am working on the trans and motor. The transmission is a M-21 close ratio out of a 1967 chevelle (data tag). I think it will work for my car. The hurst shifter will also work. I kind of like the curved shifter.
Also, i overfilled the case and need to let some of the oil out. It was draining though pointed downwards. I rebuilt the shifter and have it installed correctly (1,2,3,4 and reverse works).
I brought back a fast steering wheel adapter from my pile though do not plan on using it:
Hopefully, by the end of September I will have the motor and trans completed.
Did that guy i put in contact with magnaflux the block for you?
I forgot what you said the block was out of.
That tranny sure cleaned up well from when i seen in the back seat/floor of your pickup
