Greyghost, I commend you on some insightful thinking. However, my body is that of a finely tuned thoroughbred and there isn't any lee-way to exploit. How do you think I succeeded so abnormally well with the world's most delectable females? I could go on and on of my conquests to a willing ear.
p.s. I strongly advise you not to allow your wife to see photos of me. She could slip into a hyper breeding mode that could theoretically alter her subconscious. This could lead her into desiring another boob job. These females can get quite obsessive when aroused and this frightful scenario could set you back thousands again. I would rather see you put that money into your car.
Well...this has been quite entertaining...some laughs, some wit, and yes, some very good techincal information. At this point I'm in a quandry, wheather to let this post run, or send it to the bone yard, or just send Alex packing...
Actually, Alex's writing style bears a close resemblence to Dep's. Say it ain't so, Joe...but I will get to the bottom of this mystery
I assure you that I am not "Dep". I do not have any idea who he is, other than a tremendous fan of mine, and who can blame him?
GDaina, you must be kidding! Why would you even consider removing the most lively, glorious post this site has ever seen? This masterpiece of modern literature is only a few days old and it has taken off in unprecedented fashion. Also, keep in mind that I did not insult anyone who did not insult me first.
GDaina, you must be kidding! ..., keep in mind that I did not insult anyone who did not insult me first.
That Sir is an absolute unadulterated lie.
You have insulted everyone who has come near this thread, even those who have tried to help you (see msg 107). You are the worst kind of forum member. You contribute nothing to the community but aggravation and disharmony. (see almost all of your posts).
Your horrible attitude is exceeded only by your pitiful arrogance, neither of which is flattering.
What a cry baby. LMAO! What is so insulting about #107? I copied and pasted it below;
Perhaps your approach was less than straightforward. However, you called me a troll and others jumped on the bandwagon. Do trolls like titanium?
I was referring to being called a troll, which was suggested in his post, yet he denied responsibility. There is nothing insulting there, whatsoever. I repeat, I did not insult anyone who did not insult me or my project first. I have acknowledged those who were helpful, as well.
what happens when the coating wears off? How long before it wears off? can they re-coat them for you?
Maybe i should apologize. I was the first one to post a reply and maybe i set a bad tone and sent things off in the wrong direction. After thinking about it more, i think its great that someone would use these on their C3 whether they are a bang for the buck or not. Its great that aftermarket racing outfits are thinking about the C3 and making extreme racing components.
Doing extreme things is what hot rodding is all about.

That's the spirit, turtleman. I agree 100%! That is what I have been saying from the beginning. The C3's are lots of fun because of how we can modify them. I also do not think their limitations are such a hinderance as some others suggest.
I will call Red Devil and ask them about the ceramic coating wearing off. That is a legitimate concern, especially at that price.
Ok, I spoke to Red Devil Brakes and the coating should last between 50,000 - 75,000 miles. For my particular application, that is a lifetime. They can also be recoated. In racing applications, titanium rotors last 15 times longer than iron rotors.

Yep...IT's ALL TURTLE'S FAULT!!!
LOL...c'mon turtle...you are ALWAYS the voice of moderation.
George: Alex is not me. I was informed of his activity by another member. Actually, I haven't posted here for quite a while. Been busy rehabbing my house and getting ready to sell it and make the big move to New Mexico.

Not unless you put some serious sized tires on that C3! To do thatyou will have to put hugh fender flairs on it also. Opps, there goes that $4,000.00 for something better...IMHO
Glenn, I already have the flares and the tires on the rear are going to be BFGood g-force T/A kd, 315/35/17, surely up to the task. Besides, that statement was written in humor.
I reiterate, I do not know who Dep is but if he is at all reminiscent of myself, he must be a hell of a man.............A HELL OF A MAN!
To all of my beloved fans, I would like to thank you for your support. Today, this exquisite thread has officially exceeded 2000 views in only 3 days (A new Corvette Forum record). Although there are some criticisms here and there, that is to be expected, considering my offensively impressive manhood and highly regarded success with the females. Some do not have a problem being among my greatness. Others suffer from hyperactive fits and possible urination woes, stemming from abused pasts and insecurities. Does this site have a Hall of Fame?...................just wondering.

Since MOST of braking is done with the front tires, you had better also put some big meats on the front. That's all I was saying. As an example I'm running Yoko AVSI 345/35 ZR15's ON THE FRONT of mine, and the rear are 29X18.5" wide Hoosier's new radial pro street tire. Takes a hell of a brake to lock those puppies up!
Wish I could afford those titanium rotors! You win there!
Your custom frame allows you to run such huge tires on the front. I don't have that luxury. I guess that I will utilize the ghetto approach (coating my tires with sticky glue before any competitions).
I have seen your car, Glenn. I have nothing on you, my friend. That car is at the top of the food chain, with or without ti rotors.

Acually that is not that far from the truth...way back when I was participating the high speed NCCC events with my 68, one of our club members used either lacquer thinner or Benzine to soften his race tires. The tires were way past their prime and were rock solid, and whatever he used, worked for the day. The next event, same thing...
"Heavily modified" is subjective, I suppose. My engine was a crate LS6 that I bought new. I have, since breaking it in, modified it as so. I went to a solid roller cam with 646 lift, 242 duration @.050. I have stainless roller rockers, a Weiand Team G intake, Speed Demon carb, Pro Topline aluminum heads, aluminum flywheel, hooker sidepipes with spiral turbo baffles and that is about it. The compression ratio is about 11 to 1. I wanted to keep the car reasonable and reliable, so I am not using nitrous or a supercharger. I also have a Keisler 5 speed with a .64 5th gear. My top speed is expected to be well over 300mph! Just kidding.................don't freak out Twin Turbo! In the suspension, I have titanium coil springs in the front, rated at 550, 420 rate rear composite springs, Herb Adams sway bars, QA1 aluminum, double adjustable shocks. The car is going to be painted soon and in the process I am installing ZL1 flares all around, 17" custom made Boyd Coddington wheels (12" wide in rear, 10" wide in front) with BFGoodrich 315/35/17 g-force T/A kd's in rear and 255/40/17 in front.
When it is completed, I am going to buy a new Z06 and run them head to head. Please, Twin Turbo..........................don't get mad at me for the life I have in this rich country of mine.
IF.....you can beat this...we will give it to you...

When I was 12, I used to help my dad do the same thing. He had a 2 year old set of hoosiers and couldn't afford a new set (4 kids will do that). I remember using this transparent pink liquid and applying it with a paint roller. He got another 2 seasons out of those tires, before he stopped racing.
