Post from the C1/2

This started as a way to help answer the same few questions posted over and over. I can't tell you how many"what to look for"," what should I watch out for when buying a Corvette"posts I've read. You can find plenty of stat's and documentations but I'm not aware of a "written list" of specific trouble spots for each different era. Just thought that it would be nice to have some type of punch list. I stopped with the C4 only because I'm not at all familiar with the newer models. Not looking to write a book, only a helpful list!

Why not a book? I'd guess you could sell a few thousands around the forums (after a proper agreement with its administrators on profit shares of course), then call ecklers and some other corvette sellers and propose it to them, profit 50/50% and you're done

Those who partecipate to the book writing could have a small share of the profits and would have to pay a share of the expenses...profit and expenses shares should be proportional

Panic,
Your quite the promoter! I really don't think of myself as an author, hell I can't spell for beans. Webster's is in my right hand. Your suggestions are interesting though. Perhaps a mod could jump in and lend some advise? It would be awesome to be able to donate some of the profits (if there were any) to a charity. Lets see where the post goes and how much input grows before getting carried away. The sponsoring vendors are more then welcome to get involved, if it helps? Now I do have to say that's a perfect title for the C3 section!!!

Wow you guy's have to check this out! I have to say this is what I had in mind plus a whole lot more! It's a sticky on the C1/2 section that I was not aware of.Perhaps we can have some editing done to this post, specfically for us C3 guys? Now if we could make it a sticky here it might cut down on the repeat post I ried to copy the link but it didn't work, so here's the list. If you go to the C1/2section you can find the sticky!

Fairly good list of what to look for in this book. Most of it is generic, but there are a few year specific items.

Your welcome. I don't know about skills. I just spent the last two hours teaching myself how to put weather stripping on my car. For $200 I hope I did it right! Maybe it will keep Lake Erie from forming in my car next time it rains.
