"...was a 527/390hp...", but it doesn't appear to be one now (I am getting old, however, and eyes aren't as good as they used to be). The hood is the BB/LT-1 hood with a "Stinger" aftermarket scoop added to it. That is the best high-rise "street" hood I think I've ever seen! The stinger add-on is nice with a base hood; but one on BB hood is just too cool!

Sorry for the typo..

That car is perfection in many ways....I wonder if it was a racer somewhere as that roll bar appears substantial....

That price was awesome....

it will be a fun car.As far as the flares ,I wasnt a huge fan of them either, but they grew on me. Flares look right when the rest of the car is built in a way to accomodate their look

When the weather breaks we will all get together from around here for a big cook out.Hopefully I get to put the 69 vert here in a car show before I take it out east in the spring?Come on down.Youngster, and his dad are awesome people too.We will all get together..
I'll think about the wheels.I just went broke.....
I will be there for the cook out!!!
Now GET BACK TO WORK!!!

By the way...Nice ride too!

Thanks for the compliments fellas....!!!!I am really getting excited about getting the car home. It's growing on me...It'll be fun.
I have no way of knowing right now yet, bujt leaning t'wards the car being a race car sometime in the past...missing the engine, which means nodda by itself,I know, but the roll bar is a structual piece, and not just for show, then the flares too.....The headers have me questioning.....I have never seen one of the vintage cars w/headers like that,so that might have came after when it was turned into a show car.....I don't know...
Does anyone know the induction setup?A friend said it was the old McLarren road race style, and the carbs are 2 Bbls. in the center, and either 2 Bbls. at all four corners,or one barrels,so it would run off 4 Bbl,then as the progressive linkage comes in it would open the other 4 on the corners,so 8Bbls.I don't know. They look like the old Strombergs????I have never had any of them.A couple Hilborn setups,a nd a Keisler, but no Strombergs.....Any insight here would be much appreciated......Thanks!

Your looking at a time capsule of the late sixties. Every place you look that car shouts Calif custom. Great find and even better buy. Enjoy!

PS More pictures Please!

That is indeed a time capsule and should be kept that way. Sweet!

I think that I'm gonna.....I have brand new recovered 68 headrest seats here down in the basement, door panels, and a carpet set,but....if I'm gonna do all that I would have bought one of the more org.verts that I found on my quest.I have a 72 numbers correct BB coupe out back, and a correct 75 L82 as a daily driver that needs paint in the worst way,so I think that this one will stay as she is.It's growing on me.
