HOLY SH&T!!!!!Are you driving it all the way there?I have never trailered a running car in my life, but seriously considering trailering the vett there.I don't have a big engine like yours, but have a very unstreetable 6x2 SB unless you are going ***** to the wall.TOOOOOO much carberation, but when you hit it....that 302 is pretty impressive!
Can't wait to see the car in person.I have had MANY 74s.

No i think i'll be trailering it-i have only trailered the car 3 times in 20 yrs,but with the new motor i dont want to sing it for an hour and a half at 3-3800rpm on the highway.I'm sure it would be a pretty song but not worth 10 grand to hear it.After unraveling it from hibernation i've noticed some stress cracks in the paint are coming thru.I'll have to srtip and paint over the winter, but its a driver not a show car.Dam doesnt that rubber hose from the intake to the waterpump stick out,i cannot find a stainless 90 bend to fit it-dammit.

or raffle a part with the proceeds goin to the family, but like mentioned before it wont just be c3`s??
The 50/50 raffle sounds the easiest. Talked to Dan. He will provide flyers and 50/50 tickets.

Please...explain this to me????50/50 is just a raffle where the winner gets 50%,and the family in need of some help gets 50%?I am asking to know if I need to round up some prizes for the winner, and if I do....I need your all's help...PLEASE...w/what to get since it just won't be C3s?
Looking forward to seeing you all,and getting to meet everyone.

Tony....where is the closest campgrounds there?I am bringing my worker, and his fiancee',and we are going to crash in tents.hell....I may sleep in the car,or invite myself down to your place, and crash in your front yard!!!!

50/50 raffle is setup where you buy a ticket for $1 or 6 for $5. The pot gets split between the winning ticket and the charity. I think there is camping right at Starved Rock.

Im sure i have a couch to spare just gotta watch out for bonnie she likes to burrow under blankets and get cozy but if you touch her when shes tired she gets real bitchy and shows teeth etc..!!!

There is no camping at Mathessien State Park.
The Starved Rock campground is a few miles off of Rt. 71 east of the southern park entrance.
Illini State park 15-20 miles east of the park has 2 separate campgrounds. One has electric sites and quite a few non electric heavily wooded sites. Both have access to a shower house.
The other campground is non electric and no shower house but lots of space and grassy areas.
I think there is also a KOA or Jellystone a little ways north of the Utica exit off of Interstate 80.
There is also a private campground called White Oak campground very close to the western Starved Rock entrance but I think mostly or even all campsites are for permanent RV's etc. I'm not sure they have campsites for transient campers but maybe a search would find a phone number or website.

Wish I would have caught this post last week. Just tore all the front suspension out of the '68 over the holiday weekend.
Would have waited till this Sunday had I seen this.

Oh well. Have fun fellas. Maybe next time.

Hey guys, Bad news. My sister in law passed away @ 45 years old. Funeral is Sat @ 11.00. I will be there for the 50/50 raffle but will be late. If someone wants to pick the ball up for early arrivals I am a mile or two off Rt 71 and can meet them with the flyers and tickets.

I am 10 miles south of Sandwich. I will be there but I will be late. Probably around 1 or 2 oclock. You are a good man. Thanks for the offer. I will give you a call. Hoping someone coming from the suburbs can stop by as I am a couple miles off Rt 71 which goes right to Starved Rock. see you there.

Sorry for your loss mako.....I was at a funeral yesterday myself.
Tony....you have this covered, bud?I am still working the gremlins out on the progressive linkage, and trailoring the vett, but can leave earlier,or go different route to swing by,if need be.
If this is going to be from noon to 5pm,then you coming around 1-2pm might not be so bad Mako....it will give the guys a chance to get there from their different locations.
217-330-7425,or my cell is 217-848-1614.I am planning to leave early,so I can come a different route,or.....get up there, unload, and race over in the vette......
Again....sorry about your loss.

Accuweather for Utica IL calls for no precipitation after midnight tonight through tomorrow night. Upper 70's for a high, partly cloudy tomorrow with no rain. I will be there and take care of the 50/50, just a little late. Thanks for the offers guys.
