Default Longshot for help...........

I know this is a REAL longshot, but ya never know til ya ask.

Does anyone have or have access to a copy of Popular Hot Rodding magazine from........................1967? Not sure which month, but sometime during that year, there was a fabricated side draft intake on a big block Chevy engine featured on the cover. I would like to see that photo if possible.

Thanks in advance for your help.
Rex

Have you contacted Popular Hot Rodding magazine themselves? They usually have a full archive of all their magazines and can maybe at least tell you what issue...who knows they might be able to help you find a library or something that has one you can read.

Contacted them and was told they do not have archives that far back, plus ownership has changed 7 times since the 60s. Good thought though.

Thanks,
Rex

Rex.....no luck here on the induction, but have you tried asking forum member gkull? He is involved w/the old school racing. Also, there is a guy in Cali....John Ol;sen that has a web site called vintakes.com.He does alot old school custom inductions, and may be able to point you that way.I got my progressive linkage from Eelco, and you may try them.
I have been watching ebay for you,and asking around, but you are after a rare bird.

Still workin' on my old aluminum Can Am ZL-1 engine that came from Smokey Yunick's shop and was part of the Chaparral engine development program. Just trying to find an unusual induction setup to put in Stan's (Road Race Vette) former #2 car. Any and all leads appreciated.

Thanks to all who have helped thus far.

Yes Alan.............................VERY lucky and it IS INDEED a lot of fun to search for and eventually find these "oddities". I like the old proto-type and experimental stuff. Got a fair collection of old aluminum and magnesium racing stuff, so ........................if you have any laying around that is taking up valuable space........................let me know.

Thanks.......................have a good day and an even better tomorrow.

Rex
