Thank you. This won't be the final look, I just did this to make it one color for a while as I do the body work.

Please take this VERY seriously.....NEVER use that sh%t on your car,and NEVER...NEVER use that sh&t on a car that is going to be having body work, and paint work done. That stuff, and anything silicone will make a paint job fish eye like crazy.make sure that you clean your inner rear fender wells to,or just the pressure of the spray gun can kick that stuff up,and trash your paint job.
I worked at a custom shop in Florida where I am from, and across the street there was a guy w/another shop that bought cars from the auction, cleaned them up,and sold them.He would armour all them, and it would blow in thru our pull fan,and fish eye our work.I had to redo a couple jobs before my boss threatened to make him shark food if he ever saw another armour all bottle in his place. That's for real.
I did a black 84 vette for a dancer last year, and cleaned, and cleaned that car,and got fish eye,and had to power wash in the cowl section, the jams, wheel wells, under the hood, wet sand, and start over.
Leave that stuff to the bling people.
By the way....I am almost positive this is the first vette I have ever seen w/moon caps.

I second it on throwing out the Armor-All. Use veg oil or something else. Besides drying up plastics/vinyl, it'll lead to prematurely dry-rotted tires ...not to mention hair loss

I'm convinced, it's gone.

I'm 6'4", if I was much less it wouldn't work.

I don't really consider it worthy of pics yet, but I just though why not post a few. The paint is just plain old hardware store oil based flat black paint, like I said it's temporary, but I do like the look now that it's on there.

Thanks, that's exactly the look I was going for, I wanted a look that was reminiscent of old, big engine, big hp, loud stricktly business hotrods.

I had lots of trouble with my interior and painting and finally got this response from armorall. It still didn't remove it all from metal but help I did what they recommended and also wax and silicone remover from the paint supplier. Here what Armorall Sent me

Thank you for contacting us about Armor All Protectant - Original. We always appreciate hearing from our consumers.

We are sorry to learn about the problem you experienced. On vinyl and colored plastic ARMOR ALL Protectant can be removed by using a mixture of 5 parts warm water, 1 part household ammonia and 1 part dish detergent. Wipe this mixture on with a warm cloth and be sure to turn the cloth frequently; this will ensure that you do not re-apply the protectant after it has been removed. If any of the surfaces are leather I would recommend Tanner's Preserve Leather Cleaner. I hope this information proves helpful.
Again, thank you for contacting us.
Sincerely,

Hmmm... Armor-All has a 'canned' response on how to get rid of the stuff... That should tell us something...

I was thinking the same thing. They should sell a remover as well, seems they are missing part of the market.
