I was there on Thursday and the quality of the cars and arm candy where down. I had a chance to see the 71 LT-1,blue/black coupe that sold for $57,800. Talked to the owner and it was a really nice car.
Drinks are free for bidders and it is a pretty good deal.... you pay $500 to register as a bidder and get in for all days with a guest (daily admission is $30 per person). Oh ya, and you have to have a bank line of credit posted.
If you are a serious regular guy buyer, Mechum is the better deal.

Strong money for an A/T. It seems Sat. is the big money day , I wonder how you get your car auctioned on Sat. VS Thursday or Friday.
If I were a seller Sat. would be the day I would want . anyone know how they pick which day your car goes??
Each auction slot had price associated with which the sellers pays on top of whatever other fees there are. Prime time slots are $$$$$$$$$. Obvioulsy they're not going ot have a run of the mill car in one of those slots regardless of the owner paying for it.
Thats basicly it, if your cars good enough and you pony up the money the time slots yours.

Favoritism at BJ? Sometimes I think Edsel Ford III and Carrol Shelby are on their knees blowing Steve Davis and Craig Jackson.
They talk up the Cobras/Shelbys/Mustangs to no end but the GM get Yugo treatment.
