New Paint Pics.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

I suspect the car was intended to be a money making project...but after all the suspension was re-done...(rides and drives like new)...he realized he was not going to break even on this one...so he had one coat of black and one coat of clear shot on it and bought a "FOR SALE" sign.
I tolerated this while I did a complete tune up, replaced the radiator, heater core, water pump, thermostat, all new hoses, made the windows roll up down correctly, new seat foam and leather, new steering wheel, replaced or refinished all interior pieces including the seat belts. I found a set of NOS belts. (someone thought thought it would be a good idea to just cut the shoulder belts away on the original set...UGG!!!)...I could go on...but it's getting painfull...lol
Sorry...back to paint...and I didn't do it myself...but I visited it every week so I saw everything...
It was taken down to most all the paint gone...shot with primer and allowed to sit for 7 days...block sanded, shot again, allowed to sit for another 7 days...block sanded, shot again, sat for 3 days, sanded, shot again, sat for another 3 days...
...it was then shot with with 4 coats of Single Stage Black...sanded between each...
...then 3 coats of 50/50 mix Single Stage Black and Clear...lightly sanded between each...
...then finished with 2 coats of 100% Clear.
The paint and clear is PPG...and it is Black...I don't know the color code, but I have a pic. of the formula on the computer screen on the disc of pics. my painter made for me.
Front and rear bumpers are new GM Restoration Parts (poly)...and it got all new weatherstriping, new sill plates, new striker bolts, new tail light lenses, new front and rear side marker lenses, new emblems, new rocker panel strips, new door handles, new lock cylinders, new complete antenna assembly, and new wheel trim rings.
I wanted new center caps...but I ran out of $...(coming soon).
My painter also gave me a written "Lifetime" warranty on the job...excluding "stress cracks" of course.
Sorry this is so long...I am in sales...so when I get started...it's hard for me to stop.

Let's hear the details--What brand, color code, BC/CC?
