Well I picked up my car from Marklein Autobody in Dodgeville Wi, all of the paint is done accept for a splash of Silver on the hood. No hurry as I have lots to work on now. But the paint work is fantastic.

A few pictures:

1) A reminder how I got it 4-1/2 years ago:

You're doing an incredible job on your 69 Rob

I know well the feeling of getting the car back from the paint shop and all the re-assembly work ahead. Just wait till you get to drive it for the first time!

Didn't get to much done Sunday, lots of projects for the wife in preparation for the Holiday festivities, but I was able to get a few things done. Wiper door mechanism put in, painted astro vent area, chrome deck lid vents, rear letters on, re-painted the gas door emblem, rear wire harness and cleanup and install of the tail lights.

I think antenna, alarm lock and horn, rear valance and dynamat will be next.

This weekend I worked on the Dynamat and installed the Antenna. Both took longer than I figured. The Dynaliner should reduce the road noise and hopefully any squeaks and rattles. Next I'll add some 1/8" Dynaliner as a heat barrier and I also have some much thicker thermal barrier that I have in the real high heat areas over where the exhaust runs.

I have two hoods, an L88 and a BB hood. and had them both painted. The L88 I added a silver strip similar to what Road-Race Vette (Stan) used on a couple of black cars he did.
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c3-g...t-is-pics.html
I was going to do red, but at the last minute I changed to a silver because I really have no other red on the car. The BB hood is just solid black.

I had some concerns I would not like the L88 hood so I have a choice once it is done.
