Default 77 finally done...pics

Our son and I finally got his 77 done after 3 years and 9 months. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG]We worked on it a little at a time when the garage was not too hot or too cold and when there wasn't anything else to do, yard work and those kinds of things.

We passed this 77 a dozen times, (I didn't like the yellow). Curiosity finally got me and my son and I stopped in. Bought this one for $4,000, I didn't even have to dicker the price. This car sat in front of a motel and the owner said, "If you can come up with $4,000 cash, it's yours". He was tired of the tire kickers and it sitting for 6 months (November 2005 to February 2006).

Anyway, no stone was left unturned on the 77. We did all the work ourselves and our son spent an additional $5,800 in parts. Bringing the grand total to $9,800. We had lots of fun working on it over the years.

This didn't work the way I thought it would, 10 pictures didn't load.

Finally got the other pictures in down below.

The car looks great. What is the brand of air cleaner you are using that clears the center ignition shielding? I am getting ready to install the chrome shielding on my 77 and I am using a air cleaner that looks just like yours and it is already up against my distributor.

Hi wnmech, the air cleaner in the picture is touching the distributor sheilding. Actually it's pressed right up against it. To answer your question though, it is a GM Performance Parts air cleaner, that fits; but not too good.

My thought was the same as 7T1's, "you and your son saved another one". It looks like you did a REALLY nice job. The engine compartment looks terrific!
Is it keeper? I hope so!
Regards,
Alan
