I would have replied sooner, but I was out putting over 600 miles on mine this past weekend, running to Myrtle Beach and back. Yes, it was for a car show, and that is where the majority of the miles gets put on mine. I rarely drive it to work, but do take it out for no reason whatsoever every once in while. I put about 2000 on it last year, and will probably up that by another 1000 this year.
~2k miles last season, mostly on sundays... also hit some friday night cruise in's, and the local gang hangs out on saturday evenings but that 1/2 mile from the house and mostly for showin off, tellin lies, gawkin at passer by who are gawkin at us, and..oh yeah tellin lies
Crack of dawn anytime on a nice sunday morning with nobody else on the road...
I have a 72 and I drive it with the top down every day its clear, as soon as i can get my windows sealed right you will see it playing in the rain. but unfortunately my frame needs to be repainted before I can challenge the salt of winter
I have averaged 8565 miles per year for the last 19.5 years in my 71 which currently has 313,000 miles on it. I drive it daily when the weather is nice and have taken it on several long trips.
I used to drive mine a few times per week. Now its a couple times per year. I don't have the time or money to fix the issues it has... brakes, motor oil leak, power steering leak, transmission leak, radiator leak. My '79 is living proof that letting a car "sit" undriven for 18 years is a terrible thing to do to the car.
I still love it and doubt I'll ever get rid of it.
I drive mine daily. Sold my Infinity and my motorcycle and when it breaks I fix it. I drive it here in Georgia and even when it snowed. Now that's different they do not like snow! As a freind one said when I didn't drive it a lot " you sure are taking good care of that car for the next guy".. So, I drive it everyday and enjoy it.
I wish. I purchased my 76 late last year with intentions of cleaning it up over the winter. I drove it about a total of 20 miles over a 2 day period before i realized it was gonna need a new frame. In the end I'm glad i didn't drive it much as the frame litterally broke in half where the rear kick up section attaches as the body was lifted off the frame. But, after 4 months and A LOT OF $ it has a new everything on the underside, including a frame. It should all be back together in less than a month. The sooner the better, I turn 30 in a couple weeks and it would be nice to take a ride for my birthday.
My odometer has read 6666 since i bought it (broken). Don't know how many Miles I do when the weather is nice, but I can tell you the rear wheels clock up a hole lot more miles than the front.
Not as much as I'd like. Partly due to winter, partly due to me having to fix it.
I did drive it from Northern Iowa to Bowling Green, KY last year for CI, via Chicago. Ran like a dream except on the trip back when it got warm enough to vapor lock on me about 100 miles from home.
Mine is a DD for now and I do enjoy it. I have two kids going to K-State so I had to reduce my cars. Two BMW's went down the road. Now my wife and I have the 78 Corvette and an 06 Cadillac. That was the choise so I could keep a Vette. Otherwise I would have sold the Vette and Kepted one of the BMW's.
My comute is only 7 mile so no biggie.
We have a male Akita and he loves riding it it also.
I've put 21K miles on mine the past 20years . Local cruises and fun dinners for drive up curb service..... beach cruising . COuldn't live with out her... "MY CAR"
I always see at least 1 other C3 when out driveing. Average 3000 a year. Just finishing front and rear suspension rebuild which started feb 20th. I got the itch to cruise.
