...I've driven my Silver '75 coupe 63,000mi in 19yrs. Drive it usually daily during nice weather.

...my Orange '74 was bought in '89 w/26K miles, now has 47,000mi.

...the '68 convertible had 88K miles in '88 when bought, now has 126,000mi.

...my Silver '68 had like 42,600 in April '03 when I bought it near Atlanta, Ga-now has 44,169mi. Put about 1600mi on her in 7yrs.

...I enjoy driving my cars more than anything else. Don't care to sit around all day at a boring car show. Will drive mine there, look around, chat with folks I know, then head out for a 50 to a 100mi drive.

...will attend some of the nicest Corvette Shows for the day if they're worth staying for, but most I just visit awhile then hit the highway.

Heck yes. As much as I can. Wife says honey I need a .... from the store. Gives me a reason to for a ride. I guess because my 69 is not mid 60's goldmine, I still enjoy driving it everytime. I love for little kids, and big kids, to point and give the thumbs up. I hope I will always drive it.
I don't really get why people don't drive them more often. That is half the fun.

76 Vett

I go out on weekends when the weather is warm and the roads are dry,,Sunday ride around the lake or out to dinner in the early evening and get home at dusk. I dont like to drive at night,,,too many bugs and deer on the roads.

New engine for this summer,,and I most likely will drive it a lot, I like it when pretty girls wave at me

I have a 80, and it is in pretty darn good shape. And Yes it is my DD. Drive it to work everyday. Drive it everywhere I go. I bought this Vette because I love Vettes and C3's and have wanted one for many many years. I bought it to drive, not to sit in a garage, Not to just take out on perfect days. But to drive it and enjoy.

The engine and Trans were rebuilt approx 10K miles ago, and I just had the whole rear end rebuilt Last week. Interior was replaced (with all orig Color) approx 3 years ago. Now I just have to save up for the New Paint Job.

It has been so nice out up here the last 3 days or so that the vert has been out and tearing up the pavement. My wife and I came up on a nice 68 today and the guy was either p'od at the whole world or just needed a tractor to pull that pin out of his butt as he sure was messed up looking. Maybe he just got a $12k paint job and was worried about sand and small stones on the road but he sure did not look like he was enjoying himself. My wife and I were having the time of our lives, later my son (22) drove me around - he's still grinning.
I guess my vette is somewhat of a collector (ZR-1 vert) but I take it down the dirt backroads and though the valleys around here more than my dd. I didn't buy it as a collector, didn't know it was when I bought it so it is just one hell of a fun vehicle in my mind. Paint chips are just character lines.

I put just under 1k miles on mine last year.....bought it in April and tucked it away for the winter in November.

Mostly cruise nights, car shows and pleasure driving.

Had it out yesterday for a cruise around town. I will do the same this weekend, its just to nice out to keep it in the garage.

Hey Steve,

Are they AR TT II'S on your car...and what size wheel tire combo are you running? They look sweet!

Stay in tune....

All week long, its beautiful. Upper 50's and sunny. Of course I have to work. Weekend comes and I wake up to 3 inches of snow on the FIRST DAY OF SPRING... ARGH!!!

Well, at least I can keep working on the winter project indoors.

During our driving season in northern Illinois I drive my 73 every other day. I alternate days with my 05. I love driving it. Always gets a lot of admiring looks.
