How are you doing? Have you been able to move the leg a bit yet? that's gotta be a bit of a tense moment or two at first. Hope all goes well. I'm watching usa women play japan in extra time with six minutes left with 16 minutes left 2-1 lead. tough Japanese team.
I'm good...not much movement yet. Yeah sucks for U.S but good for Japan..they needed some uplifting. Tomorrow...I'll be letting my leg rest on the ground
How did it go today? Did you get to rest your foot on the floor or a pillow down low? How did it feel? Hope it went well for you. Small changes and "slow and steady" as said above.

Boy...I tell you! Lol. I have all new pains...but no pain no gain....I rested it down for a little...hurt and felt weird. The oddest thing is feeling my bones move around and shift. But I am working on moving my big toe...can't bend it yet...but I'm getting there. Slowly but surely.
I'm def lucky...what ppl don't understand about the oics of the car....is that...they are after the car was pushed out about a foot....part of the left side of the car was touching the center console ....I was in the car sideways on my right hip because it was so crushed
Good luck with the healing of the leg. When I had both knees done the same morning I remember laying in the hospital bed on my back with two huge white bandages and ice bags over my knees and on this air inflated mattress that changes, heels sunk down into the mattress and thought to myself: "I'll move my heels and change positions." No way in He-w-w-ck could I even begin to move anything. It seems the body when you do trauma to the knee/muscles, etc. stops their function as a safety device and you have to kick the body back to trying again. I don't think I've ever felt more helpless in my life for those few days. They told me it takes bone 8-12 weeks to heal so don't rush it....
Good luck. There are lots of people here wishing you well partly because it's a fraternity of owners and partly because each and every one of us realizes that something like this could happen to any of us in a number of unforseen ways.
Get well! Lots of rooters behind you.

I think I'll go ahead and send halle berry over tomorrow around two p.m. to your house. She's going to be in town and I get so tired of telling her not to bug me for stayovers so much and I'm pretty sure your spirits will pick up with her hanging for a while.

Going to start calling Lance the Good Humor Man. (Ask Halle if she'll autograph a photo to hang in my shop, please...! Ha!)
Currently sitting up with leg down...at first...felt like crap...but slowly getting used to it...not comfortable...but I am also taking a breathing treatment .....and not breathing is worse lol...no pain
I just came across this thread. I'm glad you're still with us. The car looks bad, you're very lucky! Have a speedy recovery!
I'd like BeeJay, who hangs out in the C3 Tech/Perf. section, to see in the photos what saved your life in that car, the door side beams. He removed his to lighten the doors.
Dose...Halle just got dressed and out of the house headed for the airport. She should be at your house between two and three p.m. Wearing a short white dress with breezy summer top. I'd say she looks pretty much drop dead gorgeous for her time this afternoon at your house! Enjoy!

Umm tell him to put them back now...we need as much steel as we can get in these cars....
