After reading through ALL the posts, one wheel I'd be interested in buying is an American Racing Torque Trust II wheel. For the rears, for example 18" rear wheels with 10 inch rims and 5.5 inch backspacing. When I look at several on-line catalogs, I can't see these wheels..in fact, I haven't been able to find any in 18 inch diameter. Similarly for the front, 17 inch wheels with 8 inch rims (?) and 4 inch backspacing...don't see any.

I have offset trailing arms. I have this little $90 plastic tool from Eastwood that lets me simulate wheel/rim/backset dimensions. Looks like with 18 inch wheels, 10 inch rims, 5.5 inch backspacing, I'll be missing interference with the trailing arms, but I might be will rubbing against the rear frame dog leg. (Look where the trailing arm connects to the frame, now move your hand up the circular frame "dog leg" that arcs over the rear axle. About a foot and a half up the circumference of the arc, it looks like an interference with the frame by the wheel rubber.

Comments Please...by people with 18 inch wheels, 9.5 or 10 inch rim widths, and 5 or 5.5 inch backspacing. Comment about your dimensions and fit/frame interference issues? Thanks.

Oh!!! yes, who manufactured your wheels?

Thank you all very much. I took a risk doing something a little different, but I really like the way it came out.
The fronts are 18 x 10.5 (4.9" bs) with 275/30/18 and the rears are 19 x 13 (5.4 bs) 345/30/19 michelin pilot sports.
Offset trailing arms and I've had no issues at all with rubbing. You're safe with a 5.4 back spacing as long as the tire doesn't protrude more
than 1/4" past the wheel, keep in mind I have offset trailing arms and a vb&p suspension. Good luck!

It's the whole visual package that make it work, wheels, flares, running board integration, stance and colour. Well done!

That's a great looking ride.

On a side note I can count on one hand how many C3s I have seen with Forgeline Wheels.
That is one awesome set of wheels and tires.

I've written down a long list of wheel sizes, rim widths, back spaces, etc. My attempts to his web sites to buy wheels has been futile. All of the wheel websites I've search, including American Torque Trust II, just don't have 18 inch wheels, 10/9 or 10/9.5 inch rims with 5 inch backspace. Actually, I haven't found any with 18 inch wheel, 17 inch has been the max that I can find. Basically...how did you guys buy your wheels?

Who are you refering to?
If you are looking for A/R TTIIs in 18x9.5 with 5" backspace they are available. That's a custom backspace wheel that is built to order. One of the better places to shop for custom backspace wheels is usually at a Goodguys Event or from a supporting vendor if not on this site over at pro-touring.com or lateral-g.net.
