Tell me-------are you a great photographer.......or is it the CAR!!!!????
Fantastic!
I'm going to the garage to show my little rescue-car how good she can look one day!
Its the car for sure. Im not that great of a photog. I think the only thing I got right was to take the pics from car level instead of standing over it.
Delivery day was somewhat interesting. As soon as I left the shop for Houston, The clouds opened up and didn't let up the entire trip. The wipers and new convertible top got put to the acid test. Luckily the top didst leak and the car ran beautifully. A quick wash upon arrival and it was ready for the reveal. My client(brother in law) hadn't seen it since it was yellow. He was pretty stoked to see it finished. We took it out for a test drive whereupon he promptly broke the tires loose and fishtailed it sideways down the road. The look on his face was priceless. Glad that happened quick so he can get some respect for the car. I will probably take it back for a bit next year to finish the hardtop and do some maintenance after he puts some miles on it.
Evan - that is some really great work and I get it that your brother-in-law broke it loose the first time he dove it - who wouldn't??? Thanks for sharing the build.
That had to be an awesome feeling to know that the customer was pleased. It would be hard not to be with a car built to that caliber. You have done a fanatic job with this build.
Kevin, Those headers were supplied by Street Shop. I dont know who manufactured them but they were stainless and fit perfectly with no interference anywhere. I guess you would have to call Trey at Street shop to find out where he gets them.
The Vert is doing well after about 1500 miles. My client had to go overseas so I got to play with it for a bit. Took it to the corvette invasion at Lake Travis in Austin Tx to show it off a bit. Was a fun afternoon with over 500 vettes showing up. Was really nice to cruise around with the top down.
I've got a C3 LS-conversion car and a C2 LS conversion project in work. Curious where you got your headers??? I have a set of the Melrose LS-swap headers in my C3, and although make great power, they hang down obnoxiously low. I have my front suspension dialed up higher than I really want and still only have maybe 3 inches of ground clearance. Your setup looks a lot better. Appreciate the help.
Revision: Duh...I see you just answered that question a posts above.
Thanks!

Evan Q.
Thanks Evan, I will have side exhaust but this might be an option

Did a little more progress on the 69. Got all of the fiberglass dings to the underbody taken care of. There were some hefty cracks I had to fix, namely the sides of the tranny tunnel where the seats mount. The jack cubby had a huge hole in it too. Now in the process of replacing the front valance panel and beefing up the bumper mounts.
