Not really unless you look real hard, Once it was cured, I sanded down the edges and the whole underside was coated with Raptor liner.

By far one of the nicest resto-mods I've ever seen here on the forum.

You have mad skills! The car should be shown inside the Corvette Museum.

Congrats

[QUOTE=Fw190D9;1585433391]Seats are now recovered and I finished the seat belt modification. I had to fabricated the steel slot that the seat belt passes thru on the seat back. I also copied the original by welding in a steel bar that the belt rides on to prevent fraying. Once those were done, I put on some new foam and installed the 100% leather covers from Corvette america.

I will be adding shoulder belts to my 71 convertible. I bought all the trim for the seats but did not know about the pass thru that needed to be fabricated. how did you determine the location? also what brand are those belts? thanks

Joe, Funny you should say that. Im headed up there first of next year to do the museum delivery on my new 2015 Zo6. Cant wait!

Gator, I sort of eyeballed a picture of original seat belt pass thru frames and modified my originals to suit. There's really only one place you can put the small opening for the belt. The belts were corvette america repos for a 73 model.

On a side note, Im so impressed with the performance of the LSA, Im really considering ditching the 502 in my 69 camaro for one.

Evan,

again...work of art!

Noticed you had different rims on there...What were they from?
is the chassis same as C3 for wheel spacing?
if so, What backspacing/wheel adapters did you need for the currents?

Thanks,
Ron

Ron, I used my old C6 ZO6 wheels so I could roll it around and test drive. I had to use 1" spacers with those wheels. When ordering the forgelines, I just subtracted 1" from the backspace measurement. I dont remember exactly what it was but it was the same as a stock c6 Z wheel minus 1 inch.

I did a pro touring 68 Camaro and did the LSA with a tremec 6 speed, that thing is stupid fast

Hi Evan!

Thanks!

So for C6 rims...1" spacers...would this be to fit them in a stock C3 chassis/body? or just to push around-not for actual use?

Thanks,
Ron

The spacers were needed because of the Street shop frame which uses C6 suspension. Stock C3 chassis would be totally different.
