Melting Slicks
Its taken a long time to get this done, but its finally home.
Took 12 years, and I don't want to think about the $$$.
And here is the finished car now.

Here is where I started.

Razor blades work well to strip the old paint.
Here is the body after stripping all the paint and power washing

Here is the chassis and power train that is going under the body.

C3 of Year Finalist (track prepared) 2019
Awesome thread, some beautiful cars!
My '79 as I bought it in July 2015:
And as it sat in January after a complete suspension, brakes, steering and rear end rebuild, as well as new wheels and tyres and fixing a bunch of little problems.
Now off the road again for a 383, fuel injection, and tko600 5 speed box. Clutch release bearing went out, so while I'm there... Needs paint at some point to be as nice as I'd like, but it will definitely be black again.
