So I did some donor surgery with my original and quartz clocks.

I already had a quartz version but it did not match the older gauges perfectly, was a bit too shiny and the printing was more green and bolder.

So now I have swapped the faces between them and all it needed was to enlarge the holes for the arms and adjuster.

Then I repainted the new hour and minute arms as they looked like orange plastic.

Will mount the arms etc tomorrow when they dry.

Fitted the rear bars after they were re chromed.

Possible some minor adjustments when I can get it turned around for a better view.

I have a set of reproduction ones still wrapped that I purchased earlier but decided to just use originals.

Next was the chrome and stainless T-Top centre bar and halo trim.

I looked at where the original sealant went and duplicated with 3m strip caulk.

A quick polish as well.

And the task I was dreading. Fitting the stainless to the T-Tops.

If only the reproduction parts were perfect or possibly its just the bad tolerances when these cars were built.

All went on OK in the end but not without some pain, paint, modifications and the use of the original stainless joiner pieces.

Beautiful work and your gaps look perfect. It's great to see another great looking [Bridgehampton Blue, of course] Corvette come back to life!

So I followed the Willcox video on doing T-Top weatherstrips and it all went fairly well.

I did however have to drill out all the holes that the white plugs go in as I could not get them in at all.

All the gaps stayed good they just sit a bit more proud of the roofline than with the old weatherstrips. I assume they will settle down a bit over time.

Thanks, its taken me 3 years to get back to where I was before it was vandalised.

However as normal I have deviated from a straight line more often than not

I noticed when I was changing the weatherstripping on the t-tops that they do sit a bit higher just like yours because of the new rubber.
Craig, a question: How did you prepare the surface before you used the dynamat on your car? Brushed it and vacuum it or anything special?

Thanks Primoz, possibly overkill but I first cleaned all the panels and scraped off any old glue, sealants etc. I then wiped them all down with either paint thinners or wax and grease remover. Acetone would also work but I did not have it on hand at the time.
Once all well dry I applied the Dynamat.
Has been down for years now and wont budge so seemed to work ok.

Headlight assemblies back in.

Cleaned up the cups and when putting back ensured the correct order as they are 4 seperate parts "A" - "D" with different angles etc.

C B D A when looking from front of car.
