That was the fastest mod in CF history. Flat deck to working deck lid hatch with all the hardware in 4.5 hours!!!! Outstanding!!!! That actually put a smile on my face after finding this after a test drive this afternoon..........

Thanks DG. Im putting some precut insulation directly on the floor, then maybe some of that hvac stuff, especially up near the fire wall, on top of everything. I dont mind fixing all the bubba stuff, that makes me feel good, its the unexpected that really stinks. I was pretty much done the winter repairs with the exception of fitting the windows to the hardtop. Guess I was wrong. Atleast the new carpet will shine.
Did you glue that in? That conforms to the contours really well

I put qick-setting glue sparingly where I needed it to hold onto contours....if you glue the entire section it really is hard to remove later on.
Also.....you will need to "taper" the thickness of the padding that is attached to the underside of the new carpet. You will see what I am talking about when you try to tuck the edges of the carpet under the kick panels and under the door sill plates.
